Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden
This hidden gem is one of the most beautiful botanical gardens I have ever visited. Located 8 miles north of Hilo, a short scenic drive takes you back to the entrance of the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Gardens. The trails through the garden wind through lush rain forest with waterfalls and bring you to the coast with spectacular views of the ocean. The flora is stunning. Trees and flowers you have never seen before! Admission is $20 for adults and $5 for children age 6-16. The cost is worth the views and scenery.
The beginning of the trail is steep and not wheelchair accessible. However, the garden does provide a golf cart to those patrons that require assistance.
