Whether you are in charge of the Halloween carnival or just want something fun for the trick or treaters, this Pumpkin Lollipop Pull is so easy to make!
My husband thinks it is creepy. I thought it was appropriate with IT Chapter Two premiering. I stayed away from the standard jack o lantern face since it was a lollipop pull and that reminds me of carnivals which then reminds me a clowns. (See my train of thought…LOL) The great thing about this project is it can be used year after year! Fun non-carving pumpkin decorating idea!

Materials needed for Pumpkin Lollipop Pull
Images used from Design Space:
Begin by selecting the image above. Using your contour tool remove everything but the facial features of the clown. Size image to fit your pumpkin. (Since I used two different colors of vinyl, I also excluded the eyes when cutting the mouth and nose and vice versa for when I cut the eyes.)
Once the mouth and nose were cut, I weeded away any excess vinyl. Then apply transfer tape over the weeded image.
Burnish vinyl with scraper tool and then gently peel away the transfer tape. Your image will now be on the transfer tape. Carefully arrange the image onto pumpkin.
Burnish the image again with the scraper tool and then carefully peel away the transfer tape. Your image will now be adhered to the pumpkin. Repeat the above process for the eyes.
Once your face is applied to the pumpkin, you will need to drill holes for the lollipops. I started with a rough pattern in mind, however, it didn’t look full enough and then I ended up adding holes willy nilly to fill it out.
Once the holes are drilled, add your lollipops as his hair!
I kept singing that song from Madagascar 3. It totally looks like a colorful clown wig!
This would be great to sit out on Halloween if you are not going to be home to answer the door for trick or treaters!
