I’ve been blessed with a work schedule that has allowed me to help in my son’s classroom this year.  I can say unequivocally that it takes a special person to corral a bunch of kindergartners.  Reed’s teacher goes above and beyond to communicate with parents to keep them up to date on their child’s progress.  It’s been so much fun as a parent to watch these children learn and grow throughout the year.  I cannot imagine the hard work that goes into this day to day.  I have a greater appreciation of teachers than ever now that I am a parent.

This year for teacher appreciation week, I encourage you to go the extra step for your child’s teacher.  Tell them thank you.  Offer your time.  Help them in any way you can.  I know they will appreciate it and thank you for it.  These Teacher Appreciation Gift Ideas are just some of the ways to show the teachers how much you care about them!

Baking cheats are reference tools to help you figure out measurement equivalents when you might be missing the correct measuring tools to do so.

But don’t worry, we got you!

As you know, for as much as we love baking, things don’t always go as planned. Sometimes you don’t have all of the measuring cups or spoons available and you need to have some other options.

We created this printable and cut file so you can have something that can be placed in the kitchen or on a piece of paper to keep with your other recipes.

We sized this baking cheats printable and our cut file at 8×5 inches and it fits perfectly in the corner of my cabinet right above my stand alone mixer. It would be wonderful inside a cabinet and definitely needs to be in every kitchen for those uh-oh moments. But no worries, we’ve got you covered with our Baking Cheats sheet.

In fact, we think it would look super pretty in a frame.

The download is a PNG document that can be printed and placed in your recipe box/binder. Or as mentioned above, you can laminate it and keep it inside the cabinet similar to what I did with the cut file and using adhesive vinyl. This PNG document will upload into Cricut Design Space. I love being able to give away the platter or plate that I share goodies on. It’s so much easier than trying to track down missing items. My go-to is a plain white plate or platter from Wal-mart that you can decorate for the occasion. This Christmas Cookie Plate is a friendly reminder to enjoy the holiday and not worry about your waistline.

Materials needed for Christmas Cookie Plate

Cricut Explore or Maker or xTool M1
Adhesive vinyl
Light grip mat
Basic tool set
Transfer tape
Fine point blade
White plate or platter

1. Begin by downloading the free file below and uploading into Cricut Design Space or xTool Creative Space.
2. Measure your plate or platter and size image appropriately in the software.
3. Once finalized, send the image to cut and follow directions for cutting.  
4. Weed excess vinyl away from image using the basic tool set.
5. Peel back transfer tape and place directly over the image.  Use the scraper tool to burnish image to the transfer tape.  Gently peel the transfer tape away from the vinyl backing.  The vinyl image should now be on the transfer tape.
6. Arrange the transfer tape with the vinyl image on the plate/platter.  Burnish with scraper tool to adhere to the plate/platter.
7. Carefully peel back the transfer tape.  Your image should now be affixed to the plate or platter! Your Christmas Cookie Plate is ready for gifting!

Materials needed for Jingle Juice Wine Glass

Cricut Explore or Maker
Red and green adhesive vinyl
Light grip mat
Basic tool set
Transfer tape
Fine point blade
Wine glass

1. Begin by downloading the free file below and upload into Cricut Design Space.
2. Measure your wine glass and size image appropriately in the software.
3. Once finalized, send the image to cut and follow directions for cutting.  
4. Weed excess vinyl away from image using the basic tool set.

I don’t know about you but these grocery prices are really messing with my budget. In an effort to stay a bit more organized, we sit down and plan out the menu for the week before going to the store. I know it’s crazy that we didn’t do that previously but I find it easier to not spend on extra things when it’s laid out nicely for the week.

Print this blank menu weekly or print it once and place in a picture frame and use a dry erase marker to change it! Either way, I hope you find this helpful!

As a new dog mom, I just couldn’t help myself when I created this cut file. On March 25, 2022, we took home a 6 week old black lab/Alaskan malamute puppy and named him Sirius. We are big Harry Potter fans in this house and my son had just completed Prisoner of Azkaban. Sirius has completely changed our lives. He is the smartest, cutest puppy you could ever meet! Sirius definitely keeps us on our toes. He is also already close to 60 pounds at 5 months…LOL

My sister and I grew up with dogs. She has had dogs since she moved out on her own. My husband and I have been together 18 years and I finally talked him into a puppy. I forgot how much I love having a dog! I’m proud to call myself a Dog Mama!

Call me old school if you want, but I love having my recipes written out and stored in the recipe box. I guess it is a nostalgia thing. There is something about seeing your mom or your grandmother’s handwriting in that little box that just warms my heart. Knowing they took the time to create these recipes is so special. Just imagine the feeling your kids will have going through your recipes someday. It really does mean something. That’s why I thought making recipe cards would be a fun project this summer or save until the cooler days this fall/winter. Either way, this is a keepsake.
