I have had the design for my Halloween mantel swimming around in my head since the end of July!
I bought an old wooden window (glass pane intact) at a garage sale and the idea just kind of grew from there.
Black and White Raven Inspired Halloween Mantel
In keeping with the Edgar Allen Poe theme, I brought the ravens indoors.
The focal point of my mantel is the old window. This Antique Window Raven Decoration piece is the star of the show, for sure. It was a labor of love and pain.
My second favorite part is this beautiful vintage Halloween banner that I found at Joann Fabrics.
The letters are sparkly and the small orange rhinestones add just enough accent.
Next I filled in the mantel with bits and pieces of my Halloween decor.
I threw a spiderweb over some of it for an old dusty haunted house effect. Then I glued the left over spiders to the pumpkins.
I’m really diggin’ the vintage-y feel of the decor this year. My usual Halloween-style is more whimsical/glam. But I just love how it turned out!
