Winter will not let go of St. Louis!  I am experiencing some horrible cabin fever!  As I write this, the snow is falling but spring is calling.  The new Dear Lizzy Fifth and Frolic line from American Crafts is full of fun playful spring colors {and is available in Joann Fabric stores now}!  I couldn’t help myself and before I knew it, I had created this Paper Medallion Bouquet in hopes of warmer days!

When I was first approached about reviewing a new Dear Lizzy line from American Crafts, I was so excited!  But when the haul came in the mail, I was elated!    The line was created and designed by the creative and talented Liz Kartchner.  Check out all of this amazing product!

I know, you’re drooling.  I was too!  We were all sent different items to ensure that our posts were unique.  If you want to check out the entire Dear Lizzy Fifth and Frolic line, click here!

Wanna make your own Paper Medallion Bouquet?

Here’s what you need:

American Craft 12×12 scrapbook paper – assorted colors and patterns

Fifth and Frolic Burlap and Fabric Bows

Fifth and Frolic Fabric and Epoxy Brads

Fifth and Frolic Thicker Alphabet Stickers

American Crafts Glitter Tape

Cutting mat/butter knife/Exacto knife

Lollipop sticks

Hot glue gun

1.5 inch and 2 inch circle hole punch

Floral Foam

Silver pot

I began by making the paper medallions.  {The awesome part about paper medallions is you don’t have to have a Cameo to create these pretty flowers!}  I followed the same steps I used to create my St. Patrick’s Day Wreath.  {Click here to see that tutorial.}

To create the center of the flowers, I hot glued a punched out circle in the center of the medallion.  Then added an epoxy brad to the center of that.  Once the hot glue dried, I flipped it over and hot glued the lollipop stick {stem} to the back.  I added the Fifth and Frolic Burlap and Fabric bows to the stems to create the “leaves”.

I wanted the pot to be pretty too!  So I used the Glitter Tape and created a border around the top edge.  Then I spelled “Grow” with the Thicker Alphabet stickers.

After adding the floral foam into the silver pot, I carefully arranged the Paper Medallion Bouquet and added some green wood scrapings to finish the look.

Don’t they just scream SPRING!?

I also used some of my Dear Lizzy Fifth and Frolic goodies to create this Bunny Silhouette Art!  The glitter paper did not shed a bit!  And that adorable pennant banner is another one of the new products in the Dear Lizzy Fifth and Frolic line!
