This Monogrammed Glass Easter Egg was inspired by one I saw on Pottery Barn! It has been a while since I’ve done a glass etching craft and when I saw these I fell in love! These delicate beauties are an adult take on the classic Easter Egg!
Wanna make your own Monogrammed Glass Easter Eggs?
Here’s what you need:
Glass egg ornaments
Armour Etch/paintbrush
Vinyl stencil
I created a vinyl stencil with my Silhouette Cameo. I chose the letter “F” since our last name is Fritz. The glass egg ornaments are by Darice and I found them online at a craft discount store.
Adhere your vinyl to the glass egg. Take extra care to be sure all of the wrinkles and bubbles are smoothed out before applying the Armour Etch (or it will bleed).
Apply the Armour Etch generously to the stencil. Allow to sit for ten minutes.
After the ten minutes have passed, rinse off the Armour Etch with warm water. {It will look like it didn’t do anything.} Remove the stencil and dry the glass egg ornament. To put the finishing touch on the Monogrammed Glass Easter Egg, I added a piece of twine to hang it.
I apologize for the plain pictures. The plain wood background allowed me to capture the etching. It’s not easy to photograph glass etching!
What do you think of the glass eggs?
