Hi! I’m Niki from HomeMadeville.  One of my favorite ways to cover a wreath form is with scarves.  Every time I see scarves at a dollar store, I grab 4 or 5.  The ones I am using today have candy cane hearts and are perfect for Christmas.  So, let me show you just how easy it is to make a Scarf Covered Christmas Wreath for the holidays.

Supplies Needed

Styrofoam Wreath Form

4 Scarves

1 Bow

Baker’s Twine

5 Crisscrossed Candy Canes

Florist wire

Candy cane scarf from Dollar Tree

Styrofoam Wreath form

Wrap the scarves around your wreath form.

Start by wrapping each scarf around the wreath form.  Make sure you wrap it over the portion you start with, and then tuck the end of the scarf back under.  A Styrofoam wreath form will keep the material from shifting as you wrap.

Tie the candy canes onto the baker’s twine and attach to the wreath.

Tie each crisscrossed candy cane in a line on your baker’s twine.  Make sure you leave enough room to tie the ends of the baker’s twine around the wreath.

Use florist’s wire to attach the bow to the wreath.

Once your candy cane line is in place, attach your bow to the wreath using florist’s wire.  I put mine on the bottom right corner, but it could also look good centered on the top or bottom.  The choice is yours.

Creating a wreath with an inexpensive scarf is easy and quick, so keep an eye out for those scarves.

Thanks so much to Jill for hosting and giving me the opportunity to contribute!  I hope you all will stop by HomeMadeville, “Your Place for HomeMade Inspiration.”
