I had never embroidered anything by hand until The Craft Escape.  Mandy from Sugar Bee Crafts walked us through it and I was instantly hooked.  I’ve been doing counted cross stitch since I was eight.  I never realized how much time is spent looking at the pattern and counting it out!  Embroidering is so much easier!  It’s coloring with thread.  I whipped up this Spring Embroidery Hoop Art last week after work.  It’s super easy!

This Spring Embroidery Hoop Art can be whipped up in no time!

Patterns for all three designs are available below!  You can download these and open the file.  If you are using Windows, you can resize the image to 4×6 in your print options to accommodate a 7 inch embroidery hoop.

All printables are for PERSONAL use only!  Please do not re-sell, redistribute or claim as your own.  If this printable is posted to the internet, please give credit and link back to Create.Craft.Love.

Download directions:  Click link above.  This will bring up a Google Drive folder.  Click the download icon at the top.  This will save the folder to your computer.  Simply open the file and print!  YOU DO NOT NEED TO ASK PERMISSION TO VIEW.

{I’m going to give you a brief overview of transferring these patterns.  I am by NO means an expert.  I’ve included videos below of some basic stitches to help you get started.}

You are going to start by tracing your pattern with a pencil onto a piece of fabric.

Place fabric in an embroidery hoop.  This Dritz hoop is the best I’ve ever used!

I used a satin stitch for the “hello” and the floral design at the bottom.  You can see how to do that HERE.

“Spring” is done in a back stitch.  You can learn how to do that HERE.

Choose which color embroidery floss you want to use.  For these patterns, I used DMC floss colors 602, 702, 704, 744, and 962.

The great thing about embroidery is you get to make it up as you go along!  You don’t have to do it in a set way.  Each person comes up with something different and I love it!

These would make great Mother’s Day gifts!!

Later this week, I will share a guide to all of my favorite Embroidery Tips and Tricks!

I’d LOVE for you to pin this image!
