Rainbow Dipped Pretzels

Holidays· Recipes· St. Patrick's Day

Now that Valentine’s Day is over, it’s time to focus on all things green (and rainbow)!  I love St Patricks Day!  Maybe it’s the hope of new life and warmer days ahead.  I decided to try something a little outside the box to create these Rainbow Dipped Pretzels.  I love how they turned out!

To make these Rainbow Dipped Pretzels, you will need a variety of candy melts.  I grabbed one bag of each color.  (Pro tip: Go to Michaels on a day when they have a coupon for your entire purchase and you can get these fairly cheap.)

I filled 6 plastic cups about 2/3 of the way with each color.  Since you are melting the candy at 50% power, there is no fear of the plastic melting.

You will need a cookie sheet for dipping.  Set up a baking rack with parchment paper underneath for drying the pretzels.

Carefully pour a strip of each color.  Once all of the colors are on the cookie sheet, gently shake the cookie sheet to allow it to even out.

Lay a pretzel rod across the rainbow of candy.

Pick the pretzel straight up out of the candy and slowly turn towards you to allow the excess candy to drip off.

Place the dipped pretzel on the baking rack to dry.

They turned out so pretty!  Perfect for rainbow themed parties and St Patricks Day celebrations!

You can use this technique with different color combinations for a variety of events!
