One of my favorite movies of all time is Steel Magnolias. I can recite that movie from start to finish without blinking a mascara laden eyelash. When Cricut approached me to feature Flamingo Pink, the old movie quote, “Pink is my signature color” pushed to the forefront of my mind. I couldn’t wait to get creating! I designed my own Pink Vinyl Wall Decor (with my favorite line, of course) to get you excited for this colorful summer from Cricut!
People are often intimidated to work with adhesive vinyl. I am here to hold your hand and assure you that it is not scary AT ALL! As a matter of fact, it’s so much fun! I add vinyl to everything!
I created my own SVG file with the Steel Magnolias quote and uploaded it to Design Space. Then I busted out my new Brights Sampler and grabbed the Flamingo Pink!
Once your image is cut, you will need to weed off the excess vinyl.
Weeding is my favorite part! I love pulling off the extra vinyl and seeing my image awaken.
Once the excess is all weeded, you will need to use your transfer tape to transfer the image to your picture frame. I love that the Cricut transfer tape is clear! Makes it much easier to judge placement.
Use your scraper to make sure you have adhered the vinyl to the transfer tape. Pull up a corner to test that it adhered. If not, lay it back down and scrape some more.
Then place on the surface to which you are attaching. In this case, the glass of the picture frame is our surface. I left the paper that came with the frame in place to use as a guide for centering.
Use your scraper tool to adhere the vinyl to the glass. Carefully peel away the transfer tape. That’s it! Seriously, could that be any easier?! I hot glued a pink dahlia to dress up the frame.
