These Oreo Mummies are a quick, easy and delicious Halloween treat for classrooms or parties!
I love oreos. They are my vice. Some people drink, some people smoke. I eat oreos. Not only are they delicious in their own right, but they are so versatile! You can make so many things with these delightful morsels. I love coming up with new cute desserts. Check out the Faux Petit Fours I made for 4th of July or my Bumblebee Oreos!
How to make Oreo Mummies
Package of Oreos
Vanilla icing
Ruffle piping nozzle
Candy eyeballs
I tend to stick to easy recipes. If you want something fancier, stick around for posts from my husband. The kids can make these Oreo Mummies!
Begin by using a small amount of icing on the cookie. Use this icing as glue to adhere your candy eyeballs.
Set aside and allow icing to solidify or dry.
Change to a ruffle piping nozzle to add the frosting “guaze” to the cookie.
Begin icing on one side of the cookie. Pipe left to right at an angle. Switch and repeat the same process from right to left. Continue alternating your way down until the cookie is covered. This will create the overlapping gauze look you see on mummies.
Continue the above process until desired amount of cookies are covered.
Allow to icing to harden before storing in an airtight container.
How much fun are those?! Let the kids try and make their own mummies. They will love this simple recipe! It’s a fun was to let their creativity show. If your school doesn’t allow homemade items, save these for lunches or your own costume party. You can even use colored icing if you really want a POP!
