That’s right, I said “faux”. I have bad memories of petit fours on preference night during sorority rush. They were never good. But these little Faux Petit Fours are definitely delicious! You only need three ingredients!
The secret to my petit fours? Oreos! They are not cake! That’s why they are “faux”.
Three ingredients – Oreos, white chocolate melts, and sprinkles.
Simply, melt the white chocolate in the microwave per the instructions on the bag. When it is properly melted, “glue” two Oreos together with a dab of white chocolate. Allow the chocolate to cool and dry.
Once the double decker Oreos are dry, begin dipping them in the white chocolate.
Place on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper. Lightly dust the sprinkles on the top of the faux petit fours.
Allow about 30 minutes for the chocolate to cool and dry.
Place in cupcake liners for presentation purposes.
How easy is that?!
These are delicious! They taste nothing like the over cooked and dried out petit fours of my memory.
The crew gobbled these up right away!
The best part? You can totally adapt this to whatever occasion! Just change up the sprinkles!
Give them a try! I promise you won’t be disappointed!
