Instead of mistletoe, hang this Holiday Kissing Ball in your entryway!
I love that when I am working on a Cricut project that I am constantly inspired. One thing usually evolves into another. I wanted to make something to use in place of standard old mistletoe. While I was whipping up my Paper Bayleaf Wreath the other day, I was inspired to create this kissing ball. It’s the perfect addition to my holiday decor!

Fine point blade
Light Grip Mat
Green cardstock
Foam ball
Hot glue gun
Twine and ribbon to hang
I used the same image to cut these smaller leaves that I used for the Paper Bayleaf Wreath. Simply size them down to about 1.5 inches in length.
I cut out over 50 bayleaves. (Which allowed me to catch up on some stuff in the kitchen as the machine cut!) Now, grab a styrofoam ball and get to work!
Then I began systematically hot gluing these paper leaves to the styrofoam ball. I started by gluing a ring of them around the middle. Keep adding rings next to previous ring. When I reached the end of the foam ball, I arranged the leaves in a star pattern.
To finish it off the kissing ball, I added a burlap ribbon and hanger with some jute twine.
I LOVE how this turned out! I’m using this instead of mistletoe this year! I think I will leave it hanging in the front entry way. It’s so pretty! Maybe I’ll try one with holly leaves next…
Do you hang mistletoe? Am I the only one that still does that?!
