Upcycle an old breath mints box into this DIY Headphones Case to prevent the cords from getting tangled!
Materials needed for DIY Headphones Case
Cricut Maker or Explore
Printer
Sticker paper
Light grip mat
Fine point blade
Empty breath mints box (I used Icebreakers Sour)
Upload our free image into Cricut Design Space. It will ask if you want as print and cut or as a cut file. Choose print and cut. Size image to 2.9 inches. (This sizing is specific to the Icebreakers Sour box. If you choose a different brand, the sizing may vary slightly.)
Send image to cut. It will prompt you to print on your sticker paper first. The program will add a black square around the image. (These are the registration marks so the machine will know where the image is located when it goes to cut.) After you print the image, place the sticker paper on your light grip mat and send to cut.
Side note: I used Milcoast Matte Full Sheet Adhesive Tear Resistant Waterproof Photo Craft Paper as the sticker paper. It is easier to work with than the Cricut brand, in my opinion. Plus it’s waterproof so your sweaty gym clothes won’t ruin the sticker.
Peel the sticker off your breath mints box. Gently remove your print and cut image from the sticker paper and arrange on the breath mints box.
Now you have a fun place to store your headphones! No more tangles or losing them in your gym bag. They are in an easily accessible place and you saved the planet by upcycling. It’s a win.
