I just love making these little wood signs!  Using iron on vinyl with wood is so easy and quick.  It really saves a ton of time and I love that I can just whip up a new decoration in less than 10 minutes.

Materials needed for Shamrock Specimen Art

Cricut Explore or Maker
Green iron on vinyl
Gold glitter vinyl
Light grip mat
Basic tool set
Transfer tape
Fine point blade
5×5 blank wooden sign (found this one at Wal-mart)
Cricut EasyPress

Clover Garlant #M549ED

Open the image in Design Space.  Size down to 3.8 inches x 3.8 inches.  Hide the four leaf clover.  Select all and attach the remaining clovers together.  Send to cut and mirror image.  Add green iron on vinyl to light grip mat and cut image.  Set aside.  Unhide four leaf clover and hide the remaining clovers.  Cut four leaf clover on gold glitter vinyl.  

Weed away excess vinyl from around the green shamrocks.  Weed away excess vinyl from gold glitter four leaf clover.  (I could have used gold glitter iron on but I did not have any in my craft stash.)

Heat EasyPress 2 to 300 degrees for 40 seconds.  Warm wood for 5 seconds.  Arrange green shamrocks on wood sign.  Apply EasyPress 2 and start timer.  Once timer ends, burnish with a cloth before removing plastic liner.

Carefully remove plastic liner.  Add gold glitter shamrock in the empty space.

And that’s it!  I know.  It shouldn’t be that easy but it is!  This cute little Shamrock Specimen Art is sure to bring you all sorts of luck this spring!

Any self respecting Irish American knows the importance of St. Patrick’s Day festivities.  It’s a day when we all come together to celebrate our heritage with a day of debauchery.  I have been to some crazy St. Patrick’s Day parties.  If you’re hosting this year, print these up to decorate around the house.  (I also have a tutorial for making your own drink coasters with these images on them.  You can check that out HERE!)

There are four printables included in this download.  The sayings are the ones in the pictures above and below. 

Make sure your color ink cartridge is full and ready to print these adorable Irish Drinking Printables.  After you follow the directions below for how to download the file, grab some white cardstock and print them.  I usually frame them in cheap 8X10 frames that you can grab from the dollar store.  You will have to trim the edges a bit for them to fit but they look really fun spread throughout the house.

Did you know you can use iron on vinyl with neoprene?  I created these Beach Can Coozies a couple of years ago but that was before the EasyPress!  These babies are so easy to whip up now with the EasyPress!

Materials needed for Irish Drinking Coasters

Cricut Explore or Maker
Black and green iron on vinyl
Light grip mat
Basic tool set
Fine point blade
White neoprene coasters
Cricut EasyPress 2

Begin by downloading the free SVG files below.  Upload your images into Design Space.  Size the images to fit your coasters.

Be sure to mirror the images before cutting.

Send images to cut.  Once images are cut, weed out your image.

Set your EasyPress 2 to 280 degrees for 20 seconds.  Pre-heat the coaster for 5 seconds.  Arrange the image on the coaster and apply the EasyPress 2.  Start timer.

When timer completes, return the EasyPress 2 to it’s cradle.  Carefully peel away the liner.

Repeat the above process for all of the different designs.  Download below includes all four designs featured in the beauty shot at the beginning of this post.

Aren’t these coasters fun?!  I had a blast making these and can’t wait to whip up some for summer!

I was sitting at work the other day and the idea for this wreath just came to me!  Honestly, I cannot remember the last time I had this much fun creating a wreath!  I am in love with the bright colors.  It just feels like it’s calling spring.  

Materials needed for Rainbow Ribbon Wreath

1 inch ribbon in 8 colors
3 inch white satin ribbon (3 spools)
18 inch foam wreath form
Hot glue gun
Gold chip board letters
Baker’s twine
Shamrocks

Begin by wrapping your wreath form in white satin ribbon.  Hot glue the end of the ribbon to the back of the wreath and wrap wreath.  Hot glue end in place.  Repeat process until entire wreath form is covered in white ribbon.

To make the ribbon loops, you will need to cut your colored ribbon.  Each piece should be 4 inches in length.  You will need 28 pieces of EACH COLOR.

Once you have all of the ribbon cut, fold each piece in half and glue the ends together.  Begin arranging on the wrapped wreath form.  You will be overlapping the ribbon as you go.  I suggest starting with pink or purple and working your way back around to the red.

As you can see from the picture above, you will hot glue 4 loops across to create a single row.  The next row will overlap 1/2 of the previous ribbon row.  Continue hot gluing until you have 7 rows of 4 ribbon loops.  Repeat this process for all of the remaining colors.

Once the wreath is covered with ribbon, add a piece of baker’s twine to the back of the wreath.  Hot glue the letters onto the baker’s twine.

Finally, I added some glittery shamrocks from Dollar Tree to add a little extra contrast.

I LOVE THIS WREATH!  I’ve been wanting to create a rainbow ribbon wreath for ages!

We all know the superstition about wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day.  It’s supposed to ward off spirited leprechauns.  We pinch people to remind them that the leprechauns can sneak up behind them and pinch.  But who would pinch a baby?!  That would just be plain old mean!  But this St Patricks Day Onesie will meet the requirements of the old superstition.

Materials needed for St Patricks Day Onesie

Cricut Explore or Maker
Green and black iron on vinyl
Light grip mat
Basic tool set
Transfer tape
Fine point blade
White baby onesie
EasyPress 
EasyPress Mat

1. Begin by downloading the free file below and upload into Cricut Design Space.
2. Measure your onesie and size image appropriately in the software.
3. Once finalized, send the image to cut and follow directions for cutting.  
4. Don’t forget to mirror your image as you are working with iron on vinyl.  Otherwise your design will be backwards.
5. Weed excess vinyl away from image using the basic tool set.
6. Set EasyPress to 315 degrees.  Pre-heat the onesie for 5 seconds.  Arrange image on tshirt.
7. Apply heat and pressure for 30 seconds.  Flip material over and apply heat for an additional 15 seconds.
8. Peel away clear liner while warm.

Isn’t that adorable?!  Any baby would be lucky to wear that onesie!

Here’s what you need to create your own Lucky Wooden Sign!

Wood pallet (I got mine at Wal-mart!)
Horseshoe
Gold spray paint
Lucky stencil and shamrock stencil (I made mine on my Cricut but you can purchase alphabet stencils and create your own.)
Mod Podge
Gold acrylic paint
Paint brush
Nails

Begin by spray painting your horseshoe gold.  Do several light coats until horseshoe is completely covered.  Set aside to dry.

Adhere the lucky stencil to the bottom of the wood pallet.  Apply a thin coat of mod podge over the stencil.  This will help the paint not to bleed out under the stencil.  Allow to dry.

Once the mod podge is dry, begin painting the stencil with your gold acrylic paint.

You will likely need to apply two coats of paint.  Allow time to dry – about 2 hours.

Once the paint has dried completely, carefully peel away the stencil.

Repeat the same process with the shamrock stencil.

I love how it turned out!  Isn’t it adorable!?  It’s the perfect addition to our St Patricks Day decor and blends in so well with the rest of the house!

Here’s what you need to make your own Shamrock Gift Jars!

Small mason jars
Green and gold spray paint
Shamrock sticker or adhesive vinyl
Twine
Skittles

Unscrew the lid and spray paint gold.  Use multiple light coats to cover the lid.

Apply the shamrock sticker or adhesive vinyl to the smooth side of the mason jar.

Place opening side down on the cardboard.  Begin spraying with the green spray paint.  Be sure to use light coats so the paint does not drip.  You will have to apply multiple layers.

Allow overnight for them to dry completely.

Carefully remove the shamrock sticker or adhesive vinyl.

Add skittles to the painted mason jar.  Screw the lid back on.  To finish it off, add a twine ribbon around the neck of the jar.

I mean, how cute is that?!

Even my husband thought they looked pretty cool with the rainbow of Skittles showing through the shamrock silhouette.

Here’s what you need to make your own Plaid St Patricks Day Wreath!

1 yard of green and tan plaid fabric
Rotary cutter and mat
18 inch foam wreath form
Hot glue gun
Wooden shamrock
Green paint
Paint brush
Twine
2 inch burlap ribbon

I started by painting the shamrock since I was going to have to wait for paint to dry.  I ordered this wooden shamrock off Amazon.

It took 3 coats of paint to completely cover the wood.

While the paint is dry, begin cutting your fabric into 3 inch strips.

Start by adhering to the foam wreath with hot glue.  Wrap the foam wreath form with the plaid fabric.  When you come to the end of the strip, hot glue in place.  Start the next strip, overlapping the end of the other strip of fabric and hot glue into place.  Continue this process until the wreath form is completely covered.

Cut a small piece of twine to attach the shamrock to the middle of the wreath.

Create a bow using the 2 inch burlap ribbon.  Hot glue into place.  Use any remaining burlap ribbon as a hanger over the top of the door.

I love the farmhouse feel of this wreath!  The burlap bow compliments the green and tan plaid fabric and the shamrock really makes the fabric pop!
