I had some left over cake pop holders from a NYE post I did several years ago. Figured I could do something cute to revive them for 4th of July!

This is an easy holiday craft that requires no cutting machine!

Supplies to make Rocket Confetti Poppers

• Cake pop holders
• Scrapbook paper
• Hot glue gun
• Scissors
• Washi tape (optional)
• Confetti

These rockets are similar to the ones I used to create the Firecracker Rag Wreath. You can use that tutorial to make candy filled rockets!

Start by wrapping the cake pop holder with scrapbook paper. I measure the length of the holder and then cut a strip of scrapbook paper that wide. Attach to cake pop holder with washi tape or hot glue.

Wrap the strip of scrapbook paper and secure with washi tape or hot glue.

To make the pointy rocket top, cut a circle out of scrapbook paper. Four inches seemed to be the perfect size.

After you cut out the scrapbook paper circles, cut a slit from the edge of the circle to the middle of the circle. Pull the edge around and glue in place.

Add hot glue to the lid of the cake pop holder and attach the cone you created from your scrapbook circles.

Fill the cake pop holder with confetti and secure shut with cone/lid.

These Rocket Confetti poppers are so much fun! Plus they are little kid safe and mom approved!

If you don’t have cake pop holders, use empty toilet paper rolls! You can create the push mechanism with a kabob skewer and piece of cardboard! Get creative!

Get it?  Red wine and boozed – red, white and blue?  I just thought that was so cute I had to put it on wine glasses!  

Materials needed for 4th of July Wine Glass

Cricut Explore or Maker
White adhesive vinyl
Light grip mat
Basic tool set
Transfer tape
Fine point blade
Wine glass

1. Begin by downloading the free file below and upload into Cricut Design Space.
2. Measure your wine glass and size image appropriately in the software.
3. Once finalized, send the image to cut and follow directions for cutting.  
4. Weed excess vinyl away from image using the basic tool set.
5. Peel back transfer tape and place directly over the image.  Use the scraper tool to burnish image to the transfer tape.  Gently peel the transfer tape away from the vinyl backing.  The vinyl image should now be on the transfer tape.
6. Arrange the transfer tape with the vinyl image on the wine glass.  Burnish with scraper tool to adhere to the wine glass.
7. Carefully peel back the transfer tape.  Your image should now be affixed to the wine glass.

This is the perfect glass to use for summer holidays!  I think I may need to make more for all of my friends…

4th of July means lake time!!  We love spending time out of the water or beach side.  And of course when you are playing on the water, you just need a cover up to get into most waterfront establishments.  My sister put together this fun SVG cut file just in time for the festivities!

4th Of July Beach Cover Up

Download our SVG cut file below and upload the file into the software for your cutting machine.

I purchased an over sized tank top from Walmart for the cover up.  Best news?  It was $4!!

Size the image to fit your shirt.  Mirror the image and cut on your favorite iron on vinyl.

Once cut, weed the excess vinyl away from the image.

I used my EasyPress to apply the vinyl to the tank top.  Pre-heat the area to which you are applying the vinyl.  This will help the iron on vinyl adhere to the material.  Arrange the vinyl over the tank top and iron in place.  Carefully peel away the liner.

Isn’t it adorable?!  Add the cute sunglasses and beads to complete the look!  You can grab those at Walmart too!

Rag wreaths can be pretty labor intensive. You have to cut your fabric strips and then spend hours knotting them to a wire floral ring. I usually turn on a good show to binge watch or my favorite movie.

The firecrackers were inspired by Mrs. Stewart herself!  Martha had these cute firecracker candy favors and I knew I wanted to incorporate them into my Fourth of July decor.

What you need to make your Firecracker Rag Wreath

• White tissue paper
• Empty toilet paper rolls
• Spray adhesive
• Scissors
• Scrapbook paper
• Baker’s twine
• Hot glue gun

I started by cutting out Martha’s printable and tracing it on the back of my scrapbook paper and set aside.

Take a piece of white tissue paper and spray it with the spray adhesive.

Roll of the toilet paper roll.

Twist the tissue paper on one end of the roll and secure with baker’s twine.

Stuff the other end into the roll.

Take the rectangular shaped piece of scrapbook paper that you cut out and spray the back with the spray adhesive.  Roll the scrapbook paper around it just as you did with the tissue paper.

Set aside.  Take the other piece you cut out and bring the sides together to make a cone.

 Apply hot glue around the rim of the end that is stuffed and attach the cone.

My Firecracker Rag Wreath is sure to add a little “POP” to your Fourth of July decor!  I had seen rag wreaths before on Pinterest, but never attempted one myself.

To complete the wreath, I painted some wooden stars and hot glued them to the baker’s twine.

These Patriotic Mason Jar Lanterns are perfect for Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day!

Anyone who has followed me for awhile knows that these mason jar lanterns are my jam.  I love making them for the holidays!  I’ve done one for fall, Easter and a variation for St. Patricks Day!  Spray painting in SW Missouri can be challenging.  It gets pretty windy around here.  When HomeRight asked me to try their spray paint shelter, it was like my prayers had been answered!

This pop up spray paint shelter comes in a nice little storage bag.

Like the bag says, it controls overspray drift.  This has always been my problem with the wind.  I feel like I waste the spray paint.  Then I end up over spraying to compensate which leaves the paint all drippy and gross looking.

I took mine out of the bag and it literally pops up and is ready to go.  To spare my back, I placed it on our card table in the garage.

It provides a nice, clean surface for working.  There is a small vented window in the back to help with fumes.

The turn table is perfect for small projects like painting mason jars!  It is basically a lazy susan that allows you to rotate the piece you are working on without messing up the paint.

How to make your own Patriotic Mason Jar Lanterns

I started the project by cutting a small star out of adhesive vinyl.  You can also use star stickers if you do not have a cutting machine.  

Place mason jar upside down on the turn table.  Holding the spray paint 8-10 inches away from the mason, apply spray paint in light coats.  Slowly rotate the turn table and continue spraying a light coat of paint until the entire mason jar is covered.  Allow time to dry between coats.  Continue the above process until you cannot see through the paint.

After you have coated the mason jar, allow about 2 hours drying time.  Carefully peel away the vinyl or sticker from the mason jar.

Add some aquarium gravel and a votive candle to the inside of the mason jar.  Finish the look by adding some twine around the neck of the jar.

Where has this spray shelter been all my life?!  Seriously, it made this project 10 times easier.  My jars turned out perfect!  These Patriotic Mason Jar Lanterns are my new favorite 4th of July decoration!

They look super cute at night on my deck (while I’m sipping wine and listening to crickets…just kidding).

Denim Lighted Garland

My Lighted Burlap Garland that I made for Christmas several years ago always goes crazy this time of year. I assume it’s because all of the stores are already setting out Christmas stuff – HA! I figured I better make it a 4th of July companion project. And since denim is all the rage this summer, I used it as the “blue” to create this version of my Lighted Garland! If you read this blog at all, you know that I really love the whole farmhouse style and this fits in perfectly!

Supplies for Burlap Garland

All you need is:

• Scissors
• White mini lights
• Red and white burlap rolls
• Denim roll

This is a messy project. Little bits of burlap get all over your pants, the floor, the child. It really itches if you are wearing shorts, so I recommend long pants when tying all of these ribbon strips.

1. Cut the red burlap ribbon in 10 inch sections and then cut length wise down the middle.
2. Repeat this same cutting process with the white burlap ribbon.
3. To cover the entire string of lights, you will need two rolls of each type ribbon.
4. Cut the denim ribbon in 10 inch sections and then cut into thirds length wise.
5. Decide what pattern you wish to use in relation to the colors.
6. Simply tie the strips of burlap and denim around the mini lights. I only tie once. If you choose to double knot, you will need more ribbon as this will change the length requirements.  I think it looks too bulky double-knotted, but that is just my style.
7. Continue tying the strips of burlap and denim ribbon around the wire until the wire is completely covered.

Don’t judge my cutting.  Apparently, this is what thirds looks like to me…LOL  You won’t be able to tell with the completed project.

 I love the touch of Americana it adds for the Fourth of July!  The denim and burlap are so in right now!

Isn’t it homey? Once it’s complete, simply hang the lighted garland and turn on the lights!

I can tell you from personal experience, the lights will not cause problems with the burlap or denim. I had my Christmas one lit for 30 days straight with no problems. True story.

I cannot get enough of the beautiful Fourth of July Wreaths!  The red, white and blue is so crisp.  It always reminds of summer, family and fun.  There is just something about the Americana that appeals to me.  Makes me happy to live in the good old U S of A.  Every year, we throw a big cookout and shoot off fireworks with the whole family.  It’s seriously one of my favorite days of the year.  There is still plenty of time to whip up one of these beauties for yourself!  Here are some of my favorite Wreaths!

Simple Denim Fourth of July Wreath

Many of you have commented asking where I got the ribbon for my Red, White and Blue Centerpieces! I discovered that ribbon in some of my thrifting adventures, but have since discovered some amazing denim ribbon options on Amazon.

Supplies to Make This Denim Wreath

• Denim ribbon of your choice
• 14 inch foam wreath form
• Silk hydrangeas
• Mini Flag
• Coordinating ribbon of your choice

How to Make a Denim Wreath for the 4th of July 

1. Start by hot gluing the end of your denim ribbon to the foam wreath form.
2. Keep wrapping the ribbon around the wreath until it is completely covered.  Trim off excess ribbon and glue the end in place.
3. Snip a small hole in the ribbon where you want to add the flowers.  Add some hot glue to the bottom of the silk hydrangea and push through the hole.  Hold in place as glue dries.
4. Place the flag through the hydrangea and add the coordinating ribbon to hang!

I love how simple it is!  It compliments my red Ice Cream Parlor Set on the front porch!

Last year’s Ultimate Red, White & Blue Roundup was such a HUGE success that we decided to bring it back again this year!  All new projects, all red, white and blue, all designed to get you in the mood to celebrate Independence Day!

I’ve been wanting to create an Americana decor piece with mason jars for some time, but I wanted it to be different from everything I’ve seen on Pinterest.  When I came across this blue denim and star patterned ribbon at Michaels, I knew I had hit the jackpot!  This Red, White and Blue Centerpiece can be whipped up in under 5 minutes!

These are super easy to put together!  All you need is mason jars, two types of ribbon (a wide ribbon and a smaller one), hot glue gun, silk flowers and mini American flag! Of course, you can customize the ribbon for any holiday! Every season the craft stores are brimming with fun ribbon patterns. Have fun with it!

Remove the ring and lid from the mason jar.  Hot glue one end of the wide ribbon to the mason jar.

Wrap the ribbon around the mason jar.  Cut the ribbon and hot glue the loose end to itself.

Once that dries, add the smaller ribbon and tie in a bow.

To complete the centerpiece, add the silk flowers and flag!  All done!

I think this Red, White and Blue Centerpiece looks cute without the flag too!

Can you believe 4th of July is just around the corner?  It seems like yesterday it was Father’s Day!  {Wait…it was.  Just kidding!}  Each summer we host a small family get together for the 4th complete with yummy grill food and loud fireworks.  This year, I thought it was be fun to put together these 4th of July Party Favors for the kiddos!

These adorable white tin buckets are available by the dozen which makes party favors super easy.  I added some 4th of July washi tape I had laying around to spruce up the buckets a bit.

Next came the fun part, adding all of the red, white and blue goodies!

I added those fun bouncy balls, rocket pop ups, star bubble bottles and patriotic lollipops to each bucket!

 I love how the rest of the party table decorations turned out!

Those red, white and blue medallions are my favorite!  I clustered them together to get this backdrop.

You might notice my Star Cake Stand with some new fun treats!  Look for the post for those treats on Friday!

All of the party decor is also from Oriental Trading!  I used fabric banner as the table runner.

And I absolutely adore these glass bottles!  Still waiting for some adhesive vinyl to come in the mail because I have an idea to spruce them up a bit!
