These Washi Tape Easter Eggs can be whipped up in less than 10 minutes!

Washi Tape Easter Eggs

YOU ONLY NEED 3 THINGS TO MAKE THESE WASHI TAPE EASTER EGGS – FOAM EGGS, WASHI TAPE AND MOD PODGE!

You can never have too much Washi Tape!

I got this pretty tape from Pick Your Plum last Easter.  Simply wrap your egg with the tape until completely covered.

 Once the egg has been covered, you want to make sure it STAYS covered.  I applied a light coat of Mod Podge to keep the tape in place.

Aren’t they cute?  I can’t decide which is my favorite!

Bunny Pom Pom Garland

 If you are looking for specific instructions on creating the poms, check out my DIY Snowball Fight!  I made ten poms for this project.

You will need:

White yarn
Pom pom maker (optional)
Scissors
White craft foam
White packaged pom poms
Hot glue gun
Baker’s twine

1.   Start with a plain pom.
2.   Cut bunny ears out of white craft foam.
3.   Hot glue bunny ears to top of pom.
4.   Hot glue white pom to bottom of pom.

Continue making the bunny poms until you have your own little bunny army!

Next, I grabbed some pink and white baker’s twine to string them up.  Using a large needle, begin threading the bunny poms onto the baker’s twine.

Keep stringing them up until all of the bunnies are on the baker’s twine.

Isn’t it adorable?!  I just love their little bunny butts!  They look so cute hanging over my fireplace.

The kids can totally get involved with this craft!  Just make sure the adults handle the glue gun!

All you need to create your own Silver and Gold Easter Eggs are foam eggs, thumbtacks and fasteners.  How simple is that?

Simply, unwrap your foam eggs and start “pinning”!  Literally.

I circled the styrofoam egg one time and then began filling in the middle.

Each egg took slightly over 200 thumbtacks or fasteners to fill.

Believe it or not, it on took me about 30 minutes to make both eggs!

Total cost for these blinged out Easter eggs?

$8

I think they are fabulous!  My husband says they look like dragon eggs.  I love how shiny they are!

In Cricut Design Space, pull up a new canvas.  Choose to insert a new image.  I used the image #M2EAE5 from the Spring and Summer Tablescapes image set.

I chose to use a flocked iron vinyl so it had a fuzzy appearance – like a bunny!  Place your flocked vinyl (shiny plastic liner side down) on the cutting mat.  On the Custom setting, I added flocked iron on vinyl with a pressure setting of 290.

Don’t for get to mirror your image!

Weed your image out.  Place down on your napkin, plastic liner side up.

Place a thin piece of fabric over the vinyl and iron.  Carefully, remove the plastic liner.

How easy is that?  I whipped up four of these in under 10 minutes!

I think these are simple yet elegant!  Perfect for your Easter brunch!

These treats take no time to put together!  All you need is a mason jar, Easter grass, chocolate eggs, and chocolate bunny.

Begin by adding a small amount of Easter grass to the mason jar.

Next, place your chocolate bunny.  (Since it’s getting close to Easter, these should be on sale!)

Sprinkle in some malted eggs!

Now you get to personalize it!  Add some ribbon or twine around the neck of the jar.  Maybe even add a gift tag!  I also hole punched some pretty floral scrapbook paper to use on the lid.

Isn’t that the cutest thing you’ve ever seen!?  Sadly, I left these out after taking pictures and they were devoured before the next morning.  Lucky for me, I bought extra in case that happened!  Always one step ahead….

Here’s what you need to make your own Bunny Luminary Jars!

Mason jars
Spray paint
Bunny sticker or vinyl bunny cut out
Twine
Aquarium gravel
Tea light candles
White pom pom
Hot glue gun

Lay out cardboard or mason jars to protect your space.  As always, only use spray paint in a well ventilated area.

I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 to cut out these vinyl bunnies.  You can totally cut one out on your own or use a bunny sticker.  Place the bunny sticker on the front of the mason jar.  Be sure to get all of the bubbles smoothed out so you won’t have any paint bleed under the vinyl.

Place mason jar upside down on the cardboard or newspaper.  Hold spray paint about 6-8 inches from the mason jar.  Begin spraying light layers of paint on the jars.  Allow about 5 minutes to dry between each layer.  If you spray too heavily, you will have paint dripping.

Once you have the mason jar completely covered, sit aside.  Allow to dry overnight.

Gently peel the bunny vinyl or bunny sticker off the front of the jar.

Tie some twine around the neck of the jar.  Add some aquarium gravel to the bottom of the jar.  Place a tea light candle in the middle of the gravel.

For the pièce de résistance, hot glue a white pom pom on the back of the jar!

Is that not the cutest?!

I just love how these all turned out!

I think the little bunny tail on the back is the best part!

Materials needed to make Paper Carrot Garland

• Orange cardstock
• Green cardstock
• Scissors and/or paper trimmer
• Hot glue gun or glue sticks
• Hole punch
• Hemp cord

1. Begin by cutting your paper into strips.  Cut the orange cardstock into 1 inch strips.  This will create the body of your carrot.  Cut the green paper into 2.5 inch strips.  This will create the leafy fringe for the top of your carrot.
2. Fold the orange strip in half.
3. Open up the strip.  Fold one end in half way.  Repeat on the other side.
4. This is what is will look like.
5. Fold the edges about 1/2 inch.
6. Take your green strip and begin cutting the fringe.  Be sure not to cut all the way to the other edge!
7. Glue your green fringe to the small fold on one side of the carrot.  Wrap around the carrot and glue in place on the other side.
8. Trim the excess green fringe and glue in place on the back of the carrot top.
9. Fluff out the green fringe to put the finishing touch on your carrot!
10. Repeat steps 1-9 until you have the desired amount of carrots for your garland!

I used my 1/16 hole punch to punch holes in the side of the leafy green top.  Punch two holes on top of each other.  You want this opening small so the carrots will slide and stay in place on the hemp cord.  Repeat this process until you have holes on each side of your carrots.

Thread the hemp cord through the holes.  String up your carrots.

How stinkin’ cute is that?!  I love how bright they are!

Easter Toffee Bark

Most of your standard toffee recipes begin with a base of saltines with toffee added on top followed by chocolate. This recipe uses pretzels instead of saltines. I think the saltines are too salty and take away from the sweet. Adding pretzels cuts the salty factor and really plays up the other flavors!

Ingredients:

• 1 box brown sugar
• 2 sticks of butter
• 1 bag of pretzel snaps
• 2 bags white chocolate chips
• 1 bag of Easter M&Ms
• Easter sprinkles

Directions for Easter Toffee Bark

1. Begin by placing foil over a cookie sheet.  Spray cooking oil on foil.
2. In a medium pot, add two sticks of butter and 1 box of brown sugar over medium heat.
3. Stir as the butter and brown sugar melt together.  Keep stirring until the toffee ribbons off the spoon.
4. Place a small amount of toffee on the foil and spread out.  This will help the pretzels stick when you pour the rest of the toffee.  Place pretzels on the cookie sheet.
5. Carefully pour the remaining toffee over the pretzels.  Spread out evenly across the pan.
6. Place in oven at 425 degrees for 5 minutes or until the toffee begins to bubble.  
7. Remove from oven and add the white chocolate chips. As the chocolate chips heat up from the toffee, spread out over the top of the toffee.
8. Now add your toppings. First, I added Easter sprinkles.
9. Then I added the Easter M&Ms.
10. Cover and place in refrigerator over night to harden.
11. The next day, remove the foil and break the toffee into pieces. Store in an airtight container.

This stuff is absolutely amazing!  You won’t be able to put it down!  Sadly, I’m on Whole30 right now so I can’t even partake.  (It’s probably a good thing for my waistline.)

Instructions

• Cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.  Spray with cooking oil and set aside.
• In a medium sauce pan, melt butter and brown sugar together over medium heat.  Stir until toffee ribbons off spoon.
• Add a small amount of toffee to the cookie sheet and spread out.  This will help the pretzels stick.  Carefully pour the remaining toffee over the top of the pretzels.
• Place in oven at 425 degrees for 5 minutes or until toffee bubbles.
• Add the white chocolate chips.  As the toffee melts the chocolate, spread evenly over the top.
• Add sprinkles.
• Add Easter M&Ms.

Carrot Umbrella Wreath for Easter

Carrots are to Easter what pumpkins are to Halloween. They just go with it. I love adding carrots to my Easter decor. It just works, ya know?

Have you ever had an idea that seemed cute in your head but then you started worrying about whether it would actually turn out that way? That was this project. I ordered this orange umbrella on a whim with the idea for this wreath set in my head. Thankfully it turned out cuter than I imagined! The best part? This entire project cost me less than $10.

Materials needed to make your Carrot Umbrella Wreath

• Orange umbrella
• Poly-fil
• Wire
• Greenery
• Burlap ribbon

This orange umbrella cost me less than $3.50! It’s 14.5 inches long and is the perfect size for your front door. Open umbrella and add poly-fill to create your “carrot”.

Close the umbrella around the poly-fil. Secure with floral wire or jute wire. Fluff the edges to create your “carrot” shape.

Next, add your greenery. Stuff the floral picks into the top of the closed umbrella. Arrange the greenery to cover the majority of the umbrella handle.

Finally, I finished it off with a burlap bow to hide the wire you used to close the umbrella/carrot.

Hang your Carrot Umbrella Wreath on your front door using the umbrella handle!

I cannot tell you how much I love this wreath! It looks so cute on our door. I love when the idea turns out even better than planned!
