You can never have too much sparkle and shine and with that idea in mind, this untraditional Glitter Ball Wreath was created and I’m so excited to be here to share with you this wreath tutorial so that you can make one too!

Glitter Ball Wreath

Hello everyone! I’m Allison and I’m the blogger behind the blog, A Glimpse Inside. I’m an Army wife and momma of 2 little girls who loves to craft, paint, decorate, you name it. I’m excited to be here today to share my wreath creation with you!

I can’t believe that November is actually here and Christmas is around the corner and decorating for Christmas is even closer. Ahhhh! But I’m excited to be here today sharing my Christmas Wreath with all of you. Last year I decided to add some untraditional colors into my Christmas color scheme by adding in some pinks, bright green, blue, and purple so when it came time for me to think about this wreath, I knew I wanted to create it in those colors. And when I spotted what I created it with… my Glitter Ball Wreath was born!

It is simple to create just a little time consuming so here’s how I created it:

Supplies:

  • Wreath Form
  • Glitter Ball Vase Filler (I found these and bought 6 bags from Hobby Lobby)
  • Large Glitter Bow (also bought at Hobby Lobby)
  • Low Temp Hot Glue Gun (high temp can melt your Styrofoam!)

How to Make a Glitter Ball Wreath

The vase filler comes in balls of two different sizes, some large and some small, and they had multiple color options at Hobby Lobby if this color scheme isn’t for you.

My color scheme has 4 colors as well, 2 in each size.

Start with the larger balls and glue them down alternating colors on the face of the wreath form.

It took fours rows to completely cover the face of the wreath for my size wreath form.

Next, work on gluing the ball to the center portion of the wreath. 3 rows of balls here.

Then, time to cover the outside of the wreath form. 3 sides once again.

Once the entire wreath is covered in the large balls, it is time to use the second size balls.
Glue the smaller sized balls on top of the larger balls in the gaps where you can see the wreath form shining through.

Work your way around the entire wreath with the smaller balls until the whole wreath is covered.

And now it is time to add your bow. With the type of bow I bought, I just hot glued it onto my wreath.

And it is complete!!
I hot glued some ribbon onto the back of the wreath form and then used a floral pin to push through the ribbon for extra hold and it is ready to hang.

I plan on hanging it over my mantle with the decor I bought last year.

I love how it came out and hubby said it looked like a store bought wreath.
Always a great compliment! And please stop by and visit my neck of the blogging woods at A Glimpse Inside and hang out with me on social media!
