Sponge Ball Water Fight

The weather is finally warming up and it’s time to spend our days outdoors.  Reed was watching over my shoulder the other day as I was browsing Pinterest.  We came across a pin for Sponge Bombs from Inner Child Fun and he begged me to make them.  They reminded me of my Indoor Snowball Fight!  {If you missed that post, click here.}  We headed to Target for sponges and hair ties.  Who knew this Sponge Ball Water Fight would be so much fun?!

    Too fun! Thanks.

    • Jill @ Create.Craft.Love. says:

Thanks Kari-Anne! We have a blast playing with it! So much nicer than water balloons and the mess that ensues from that!

  14. Monique says:

What size/type of hair ties are you using? I used rubber band style and the sponge pieces fall out. The band was pretty small and I wrapped it twice per instruction.
    Thanks!

    • Jill @ Create.Craft.Love. says:

I used the small plastic ones that look like rubberbands for braces. Try those – they are smaller! :)

  15. Love this craft! Made and used them at my daughters first birthday party as favours. I’ve linked your tutorial to my post here! http://deckedoutspaces.blogspot.ca/2014/08/splish-splash-1st-birthday-party.html
