Hi everyone! I am so excited to be here sharing my love of wreaths with you! This Christmas Wreath series has been so inspiring and I have loved seeing every one of the wreaths shared so far. I wanted to go for a pretty traditional look for my Christmas wreath this year so I made a Plaid and Burlap Christmas Wreath.

A simple plaid and burlap Christmas wreath is so easy to make and looks beautiful.

This wreath starts with an 18 inch Styrofoam wreath form from Floracraft. Then, I used wired plaid ribbon to cover the wreath. A lot of times, I tend to use the unwired ribbon because it fits better around the wreath but I loved the plaid on this ribbon so I couldn’t resist. I just use a touch of hot glue on the beginning and end of the ribbon to keep it secure.
Once the wreath form is wrapped, I used some floral picks from the craft store to fill in the bottom around where I wanted my burlap bow to go.

This bow is really what started the inspiration for my wreath as I just loved the little bit of shimmer it offered.

I secured everything with a healthy dose of hot glue {man, what would I do without my hot glue gun?!} and then took it to the front door so it could hang in its new home.

Have you made any Christmas decorations yet? My husband has me waiting until closer to Thanksgiving to officially put this wreath out so I am counting down the days!
I would love it if you would come and visit me over at my blog, Just Us Four, to see some other holiday ideas I have made like
