The Cricut Scoring Wheel is the newest tool in the Cricut Adaptive Tool System for Cricut Maker! Create perfect folds every time!
Cricut Scoring Wheel
Honestly, I’ve never been a big fan of anything that requires folding because I can never get the material to fold in the correct place for the project! It can be super frustrating but the scoring wheel changes all that.
The scoring wheel is the newest tool to arrive for use with Cricut’s Adaptive Tool System. This tool delivers 10x the pressure of the scoring stylus allowing you to create perfect folds every time. Available as a single or double wheel to use with varying levels of material thickness. The scoring stylus is dragged across the material where the wheel is rolled across the material. This rolling action maintains the material at higher pressures.
The scoring wheel is for use with the Cricut Maker only. The housing unit is only compatible with the Cricut Adaptive Tool System available on the Maker. However, you only need one housing unit to use both the single and double wheels. The QuickSwap™ Drive Housing uses a plunger system to easily interchange the wheels.

The fabulous team at Cricut has rigorously tested multiple materials and have compiled a list of the materials for use with the scoring wheel! Design Space will recommend which wheel to use depending on which material you select.
Single Scoring Wheel
To create those adorable strawberry boxes, I used the single scoring wheel. The single wheel creates a single crease on the cardstock allowing for perfect folding.
I folded along the scored lines and then glued the ends together.
Pull together with baker’s twine and add the cute leafy top! These are so cute when finished!
Double Scoring Wheel
I used the double scoring wheel with kraft board to cut out the strawberry basket. The double wheel creates two parallel creases on the material allowing for easier folding with thicker or specialty materials.
Once the basket was cut, I used the double crease to fold it. Then hot glue the corners together.
The entire project I was able to pull together in 30 minutes! I just love how sweet these berries and basket look!
Here is a quick guide for choosing which scoring wheel for your project!
