You all know of my love for fabric. The colors in this beautiful serape were too good to pass up. I knew I had to make something with it. With Cinco de Mayo rapidly approaching, I NEEDED to use this fabric! I created this bright and colorful Insulated Drink Sleeve that you can quickly pull together in 10 minutes or less!!
Wanna create your own Insulated Drink Sleeve?
Here’s what you need:
(2) pieces of fabric cut to 3 inches x 11 inches
1 piece of Insulbright cut to 2 inches x 10 inches
Rotary cutter/cutting mat
Iron/ironing board
Sewing machine
Coordinating thread
This is an easy beginning sewist tutorial!
Place your two pieces of fabric right side together.
Pin together.
Sew the two long edges together. Leave the ends open.
Add your Insulbright and iron in place. Be sure to flip over and iron the fabric side so your Insulbright does not melt to the iron!
Turn right side out. Iron again for a nice crisp look.
Fold in half and stitch the ends together.
Trim the excess thread and turn right side out.
SO easy!
I love how bright and colorful it is! Just think of the possibilities! This is such an easy pattern to replicate for any occasion!
Perfect for your Cinco de Mayo celebration!
