Create your own Halloween Subway Art!
SVG file (follow directions for download below)
Cutting machine (will work with Cricut and Silhouette)
Adhesive vinyl or stencil vinyl
Wood pallet sign (got this one at Wal-mart)
Mod podge
Black acrylic paint
Download the SVG file and using your cutting machine software, upload and cut.
Once the design is cut, weed out the letters leaving behind the negative space. Carefully transfer the design stencil onto the wood pallet sign.
Use your scraper tool to remove any bubbles from the vinyl. Apply a light thin coat of Mod Podge over the letters. This will reduce paint bleeding. (Due to the nature of the wood I used, it did bleed some but it works since it’s Halloween, right?!)
Use your favorite black acrylic paint and a foam dobber to apply a thin layer of black paint.
Allow paint to dry completely. Carefully remove the vinyl stencil.
It turned out better than I imagined! I added the cute felted pom garland to give it a touch of color!
