St. Patrick’s Day is less than a week away.  Are you ready?  Have you got your green all picked out?  I whipped up this cute DIY Pot of Gold to help celebrate the occasion!

Whip up this adorable DIY Pot of Gold for your St. Patrick's Day festivities! Created by createcraftlove.com for The 36th Avenue! #stpatricksday #DIY #partyfavor #crafts

Create your own DIY Pot of Gold!

Here’s what your need:

Mini terracotta pot

Black acrylic pain

Sponge brush

Mod Podge

Gold glitter

Shamrock sticker or vinyl cut out

Rolo candies to fill

Begin by painting your terracotta pots with the black acrylic paint.  It took two coats to cover.

potogold1

Once dry, apply a thin layer of Mod Podge along the inside of the lip.  {I use sparkle Mod Podge when crafting with glitter!}  Sprinkle with gold glitter.

potogold2

Next, apply a thin layer along the outer rim.  Roll in glitter.

potogold3

Attach the sticker out line of the shamrock to the front of the pot.  Be sure there are no bubbles.

potogold4

Apply light coat of Mod Podge to the shamrock area.

potogold5

Sprinkle with gold glitter over the mod podge areas and slowly remove the sticker outline.

Fill your DIY Pot of Gold with Rolo candies and you are finished!

Use this craft as a St. Patrick’s Day prize or party favor!  It’s so fun and festive!
