Hello friends!! I’m Gina from Kleinworth & Co. & I am so thrilled to be here with you all today at Jill’s place. Since I plan on changing all our holiday decor to neutrals with touches of green I decided that a simple Boxwood Wreath with accents of cream & white would be the perfect thing to set the tone. Let me show you just how easy it was to make!

Boxwood Wreath

Decorating a Christmas wreath is probably the thing I look forward to the most come holiday time. So you can imagine how exited I was when Jill asked me to join in on all this fun with the Christmas Wreath Series. Usually at Christmas I go completely overboard with all the decorations & put out everything I have ever collected. I do this partly because I feel bad that we store these things all year long & so I then feel obligated to use it all. Well – this past summer we moved in to our new house & did a complete overhaul to our decor. So this year I will be keeping in that fresh & new feel & changing a lot of the usual things we would normally decorate with. Since the front door & the wreath give the first impression to what’s to be found inside the home -I knew that the wreath needed to be classic, timeless & elegant.

With a chocolate brown door with a silver kick plate I have to be very careful what colors I choose for my decorations. Not everything stands out as well as I would like & not all colors go well with it either. Fortunately the green & white popped quite nicely against it.

Supplies

Here is what I started out with:

Foam wreath form

White cotton strips of fabric

Boxwood garland

Sprigs of white berries (I also had red in case I changed my mind)

Cream satin ribbon

Hot glue (a LOT)

How to Make a Boxwood Wreath

Start by wrapping the wreath form with the cotton fabric. *Hot glue & foam don’t really work all that well together, so you’ll need that fabric to give the hot glue something to stick to.

Next, glue the boxwood garland around the wreath form until it is completely covered.

Add the berry sprigs for highlights.

Make 2 large bows with the satin ribbon & glue them close together to look like one larger bow.

I like that it’s just simple enough to say elegant without looking like it’s lacking. I still want it to have enough punch from the street for curb appeal.

Here it is! I can’t wait to hang it on the door for December. Happy Crafting! ~ Gina

You can never have too much sparkle and shine and with that idea in mind, this untraditional Glitter Ball Wreath was created and I’m so excited to be here to share with you this wreath tutorial so that you can make one too!

Glitter Ball Wreath

Hello everyone! I’m Allison and I’m the blogger behind the blog, A Glimpse Inside. I’m an Army wife and momma of 2 little girls who loves to craft, paint, decorate, you name it. I’m excited to be here today to share my wreath creation with you!

I can’t believe that November is actually here and Christmas is around the corner and decorating for Christmas is even closer. Ahhhh! But I’m excited to be here today sharing my Christmas Wreath with all of you. Last year I decided to add some untraditional colors into my Christmas color scheme by adding in some pinks, bright green, blue, and purple so when it came time for me to think about this wreath, I knew I wanted to create it in those colors. And when I spotted what I created it with… my Glitter Ball Wreath was born!

It is simple to create just a little time consuming so here’s how I created it:

Supplies:

Wreath Form

Glitter Ball Vase Filler (I found these and bought 6 bags from Hobby Lobby)

Large Glitter Bow (also bought at Hobby Lobby)

Low Temp Hot Glue Gun (high temp can melt your Styrofoam!)

How to Make a Glitter Ball Wreath

The vase filler comes in balls of two different sizes, some large and some small, and they had multiple color options at Hobby Lobby if this color scheme isn’t for you.

My color scheme has 4 colors as well, 2 in each size.

Start with the larger balls and glue them down alternating colors on the face of the wreath form.

It took fours rows to completely cover the face of the wreath for my size wreath form.

Next, work on gluing the ball to the center portion of the wreath. 3 rows of balls here.

Then, time to cover the outside of the wreath form. 3 sides once again.

Once the entire wreath is covered in the large balls, it is time to use the second size balls.

Glue the smaller sized balls on top of the larger balls in the gaps where you can see the wreath form shining through.

Work your way around the entire wreath with the smaller balls until the whole wreath is covered.

And now it is time to add your bow. With the type of bow I bought, I just hot glued it onto my wreath.

And it is complete!!

I hot glued some ribbon onto the back of the wreath form and then used a floral pin to push through the ribbon for extra hold and it is ready to hang.

I plan on hanging it over my mantle with the decor I bought last year.

I love how it came out and hubby said it looked like a store bought wreath.

Always a great compliment! And please stop by and visit my neck of the blogging woods at A Glimpse Inside and hang out with me on social media!

Hello friends, I’m Sarah from Becoming Martha and I am so excited to be over here with Jill today, sharing a Christmas wreath with you. Today, I am sharing a Christmas version of a Bubbled Burlap Wreath!

Bubbled Burlap Wreath

I love the rustic and simple look of this bubble burlap wreath. There are so many things you could do to dress it up, or change the colors/themes. It’s easy to put together, affordable and looks so pretty.

To make this wreath, you will need:

Wreath form

1-2 rolls of 5″ burlap, 5 yards each

Jute twine

Ornament or decoration

Vinyl

Floral u-pins

First of all, choose your wreath form. This wreath looks great at any size, but I used the moulded 12″ wreath since it fits nicely on my door. 1 roll of burlap is just barely enough for this 12″ wreath form – I would have bought two if my craft store had more and made it a little fuller, but you can totally get by with one roll. If you only use one roll, I suggest covering your wreath form in jute twine first, because there may be little gaps in the burlap, and the twine will make it blend together.

Start by cutting the burlap roll into 5″ squares. Five yards should give you 36 squares. Then, bubble it by joining the corners together. This process is a little tricky for the first few times, but once you get the hang of it, it’s really easy.

3. Use the u-pins to secure the burlap squares. You can use dress pins, but u-pins are really more secure, since dress pins can slip through the loose weave of burlap.

4. Overlap the pieces, covering up the pins as you work.

The whole process shouldn’t take more than half an hour, once you get the hang of folding the squares. It really is a simple wreath to create. I love how the chevron pattern becomes more abstract – and you could totally change out the decoration and use it for Halloween next year too!

I cut our family name out of vinyl and stuck it on the little vintage style wooden toboggan that I was attaching to the wreath. The original plan was to use black vinyl on the white sled, but my daughter decided it needed some red marker all over the top. So I had to paint it – I did decide to stick with her color suggestion though! I attached the toboggan with twine, so it would blend in with the burlap. Once it was secured, all that was left to do was hang!

I hope you had fun creating this wreath and will stop over to visit me at my blog! You’ll find many more great holiday decor and gift ideas. Thanks so much for having me over Jill! See you all soon! ~Sarah
