Apparently, I have a thing for the beverage area when party planning.  LOL  I found this little vintage looking beverage dispenser at Michael’s and fell in love.  AND it was 50% off!  I have seen the cutest little chalkboard tags on Pinterest people have been using to label their drink dispensers.  Unfortunately, I will misplace something that small.  I came up with this easy, all-in-one Chalkboard Labeled Beverage Dispenser!

Wanna make your own Chalkboard Labeled Beverage Dispenser?

Here’s what you need:

Americana Gloss Enamels Glass Chalkboard Paint

Painter’s tape

Cosmetic sponge

Glass beverage dispenser

Wipe the area clean with rubbing alcohol.  Allow to dry thoroughly.  Tape off the area you want to paint with the painter’s tape.

Check and re-check that the tape is secure and there are no gaps between the tape and the glass.  You don’t want your paint to bleed around the tape.

Apply the glass chalkboard paint using the cosmetic sponge.  It leaves a much nicer finish than the craft sponge brushes.

Allow to dry completely before applying the second coat.

Let dry for four days.  {Yes – you read that correctly.  Days!}

Remove the painter’s tape.  If the paint did bleed around the tape, you can use an Exacto knife to scrape off the excess and carefully even out the edges.

Remove the spout from the beverage dispenser.

Place in oven and heat to 325 degrees.  Bake for thirty minutes.

Once the timer goes off, turn off the oven and crack the door.  Allow to cool completely before removing from the oven.

Gently rub some chalk on the painted area and erase to prep the area.

Replace the nozzle and you are ready to go!

You can even get cutesy if you want and say “Drink Me” or “Adults Only”!  The possibilities are endless!  It’s a fun way to add a personal touch to your party!
