This is probably one of the easiest ideas ever.  Not only is it super simple, but it can be modified to coordinate with any occasion!  These Balloon Dipped Luminaries add a touch of fun to any celebration!

All you need to create these luminaries are 9 inch balloons, mason jars, sand and votive candles.  I used the smaller canning jars with the quilted crystal pattern because the smooth finish to the other mason jars kept causing the balloons to slide off.

Simply cut the neck off the balloon.  Turn mason jar upside down and stretch the balloon over the bottom of the jar.  Don’t worry if it’s not perfectly straight.  That’s what makes it look paint dipped.

I added a small amount of sand to the jar and placed a votive in the middle.

They are so fun and festive!  Imagine changing them out for 4th of July with blue balloons with stars!  So cute!

If you want to add some extra accent, try doubling up the balloons!

They look really cool at night too!
