Do you guys remember when I shared my Cupcake Liner Lei a couple weeks back? Well I decided to use those flowers and make these cute DIY Straw Toppers! These are super easy to whip up and will add a little flare to your summer gathering!
All you need is scissors, cupcake liners, paper straw, hot glue gun and washi tape.
Disclaimer: Kids should not handle hot glue gun! Beware of burning little fingers!
- Flatten out three cupcake liners.
- Fold in half.
- Fold in half again.
- And again.
- Cut the top to look like a heart. (This will give the flower a scalloped edge.) Cut the tip off.
- Open cupcake liner flower back up.
Glue around the straw (about a third of the way down).
Insert straw through hole in the cupcake liner flower. Hold cupcake liners while glue dries.
Add washi tape around the straw at the bottom of the flower to secure in place.
Now you have a cute way to adorn drinks at your next party!
Make it a luau theme and whip up this Cupcake Liner Lei!
