Mardi Gras may seem like a big party but you can definitely include the kiddos in the festivities!  Since my Cameo has been neglected lately throughout all my Valentine crafting, I decided to whip her out and make these adorable Mardi Gras Photo Props!

Wanna learn how to make your own Mardi Gras Photo Props?

Here’s what you need:

Scrapbook paper

Cameo {or die cutting machine}

Scrapbook embellishments

Hot glue gun

Wooden skewers or lollipop sticks

Feathers {optional}

I won’t insult your intelligence by spelling out the steps to using your die cut machine.  If you are new to your Silhouette Cameo, feel free to email me with any questions.  These are the images I downloaded for these particular masks.  The jester mask is Mask by Silhouette Design ID #1558.  The other masks were part of a set.  They are Masks by Silhouette Design ID #1559.

My favorite part of this project is you DON’T have to have a Cameo to make your own masks!!

Did you know that Michael’s makes blank masks that you can use?  They are in the aisle with the pipe cleaners, feathers, pom poms, etc.  Just grab paint and embellish as you would with the paper ones.  Or you could even get really fancy and mod podge paper onto the masks!

Reed has been itching to get his little fingers on these masks since I made them the other night.  So I let him pose for pictures.  He is such a ham!  I just love the picture of him that’s above the font banner!  Cracks me up!

Are you celebrating Mardi Gras this year?
