Hello, friends! I’m Michele from The Scrap Shoppe, and I’m super excited to be here today to share my newest wreath with you! I’m afraid I share Jill’s affinity for wreaths. This is my 6th new wreath in just the last couple of months!
But this Whimsy Woodland Wreath may be my new favorite! I fell in love with the twiggy ribbon as soon as I saw it and knew it was meant to be on a wreath. I also love this wreath because I can leave it up ALL winter long!
Supplies:
18″ Floracraft Styrofoam wreath ring
10 yards plain ribbon
5 yards patterned ribbon (this one is from Old Time Pottery)
3 pine cones
twine
glue gun
Wrap the wreath ring with plain ribbon. Then wrap the patterned ribbon loosely around the wreath ring. Glue the ends in place.
Hot glue the twine to the ends of the?pine cones then wrap around the ends. Leave a length of the twine at?the end of each?pine cone so that they?can hang from the top of the wreath.
Wrap a length of the patterned ribbon around the top of the wreath for hanging. Glue the ends of the twine to the front of the ribbon. Top with a bow made from the patterned ribbon.
That’s it! For this wreath I think the ribbon makes the statement so I wanted to keep everything else very simple. And you can bet your bottom dollar that this will be hanging up from now through February!
Thanks so much for having me over, Jill! I would love for you all to come visit me at The Scrap Shoppe sometime.
