You guys. My friend Jamielyn wrote a cookbook! And it’s amazing. I’m not just saying that. It really is. You know that I have made no secret of the fact that I cannot cook. The majority of the recipes shared here are courtesy of my husband. What I love about the The I Heart Naptime Cookbook is that it’s easy enough that I can even follow the recipes! But also sprinkled throughout the book are fun and simple craft projects! It’s totally a win win!
All of the recipes can be made in under an hour! Another bonus for this busy mama!
I decided to try something easy. I mean, let’s be serious. I am not Julia Child. Probably not a smart idea to jump in with both feet. So I decided to give her recipe for Strawberry Lemonade a shot!
Confession: I have never made lemonade with real lemons. The extent of my lemonade making involves pouring the Simply Lemonade into a glass. (drop mic) I had to go out and by a hand juice squeezer.
After trying this recipe (and successfully executing it), I will never make lemonade any other way! This is lemonade perfection! It’s the ideal mix of sweet and sour and not heavy/syrup-y at all! So refreshing on a hot day! Even my super picky son loved it!
But I’m a crafter at heart so I couldn’t pass up, previewing one of her easy DIY ideas! This Washi Tape Utensil Holder is a quick way to personalize your kitchen space. Plus it gave me a chance to use some of the 100 rolls I have stashed in my closet.
The whole book is awesome! Her pictures leap off the page and beg to be eaten! This is the perfect Christmas present for your sister, mom or best friend!
