These Grilled Steak Kabobs are a great way to kick off the grilling season!

Memorial Day weekend is here!  It’s the official start of summer and grilling season!  To kick off this weekend, I thought I’d share one of our favorite grilling recipes.  These are delicious and everybody goes crazy for them!

Did you ever see the movie Ratatouille?  The rat is the chef and can throw together a recipe just by smell.  That’s my husband.  He can smell spices and mix them altogether to come up with something amazing.

That’s how he came up with this marinade.  And the marinade is the secret to this recipe.

We combine 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil, a splash of white wine vinegar, garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste.  Set aside.

Cut up your steak and veggies.  We like to use New York strip steaks because they are a good cut of meat (and to be honest, Kyle is picky like that.)  Choose whichever veggies you like.  We like to use tomato, green pepper, zucchini, onion, mushroom and potato.

To prep the steak, we used the Ultimate Steak Seasoning from Tastefully Simple.  Feel free to substitute your favorite steak seasoning.  Simply rub onto steak.  Flip the pieces over and rub onto the other side as well.

Light the grill.

Begin skewering your steak and veggies.  I don’t care for tomato or mushroom, so he knows not to put those on my kabobs.  We added a little Parmesan grated cheese to the zucchini.

Take the kabobs and place on the grill.  Brush on the marinade.  As you are grilling and turning the kabobs, brush on more marinade.

Cook to your preference.

Nothing tastes more like summer to me!  Fresh veggies and grilled steak? These Grilled Steak Kabobs are sure to be a new family favorite! YUM!
