My friend, Sarah at Becoming Martha, shared these beautiful Ombre Glittered Candle Holders back in October. My mind instantly went to Christmas and all the possibilities. So, I told her I was going to steal the idea and she was cool with it. {hee hee} And then I saw some of these beautiful candles at JoAnn Fabrics and I couldn’t resist! Grab a great candle, add some Mod Podge and glitter to create your own Glitter Dipped Christmas Candles!
Here’s what you need:
Candles
Painter’s tape
Sparkle Mod Podge
Paintbrush
Glitter
Following Sarah’s lead, I began by taping off my candles so they would have a crisp clean edge.
Next, I painted the exposed area with Sparkle Mod Podge. {Sparkle Mod Podge is my new favorite medium! It dries clear but is so sparkly!}
Roll the candle through the glitter.
Allow the Mod Podge to dry. Once it is dry (I waited an hour), carefully peel away the painter’s tape.
Aren’t they beautiful? I just love how they turned out and they coordinate with my mantel!
These would also look great as a centerpiece for your holiday table!
Are you decking the halls yet?
