Store all of your mermaid treasures from dinglerhoppers to snarfblatts in this easy to make Mermaid Makeup Bag! Or you can store your actual makeup, but what fun is that?
For this month’s SVG bundle we chose mermaids! There are so many fun images and cut files to choose from to create something spectacular for summer. I am seriously crushing on iron on vinyl these days. Today I’ll walk you through making your own little treasure bag.

DIY Mermaid Makeup Bag Supplies
Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air
Canvas makeup bag
Cricut Iron On Lite in aqua and metallic purple
Cricut Foil Iron On in pewter
Cricut EasyPress
Ribbon
Holographic jewels
Hot glue gun
The Mermaid Makeup Bag SVG is easily resized in Design Space. These bags are 9 inches by 4 inches (when you exclude the boxed bottom). After you’ve sized the image correctly, you are ready to cut. (Be sure to mirror your image since you are working with iron on vinyl.) Choose Iron On vinyl and cut as directed.
Weed your image and iron on to the canvas bag. Set your EasyPress to the Iron On Lite settings. Pre-heat the surface area of bag before adding the vinyl.
Gently peel away the clear liner.
Trim off the tag on the left. Using your hot glue gun, add the holographic jewels to embellish the bag.
Cut off about a foot of coordinating ribbon and tie to the zip pull on the bag.
