I’m kind of a dessert fanatic.  I created this package around dessert scents and flavors!

There are birthday cake Oreos since I can’t mail a cake without it getting totally messed up.  A big cupcake sticker that my niece will love.  Did you know they make Cake Batter scented Chapstick?  It’s amazing.  The Marshmallow Pop candle smells just like cake.  And the piece de resistance – a Target gift card!

This is a great idea for college students!  They will love getting a package full of birthday goodness!

That adorable box was another Target purchase!

I added some shredded paper to help protect everything.

I had to problem getting everything to fit!  I can’t wait for them to get it!!

The best part is you can totally add an EOS for fun or leave as is!  It’s cute either way!

Simply print on white cardstock and cut out!  If you’re adding the EOS, you will need to cut out a 1 inch circle to put it through the printable.  It looks like a dollop of extra icing on top!  PS – the pink one is Strawberry Sorbet!  How perfect is that?!  But honestly, you could use any and it would go with this printable!

I mean, look at this kid.  Is there any doubt this was the party he would want?

I ordered the invitations from Leelaaloo and love them!

I had so much fun putting this party together!  I actually purchased a lot of the supplies through Oriental Trading.  (This was NOT sponsored by them.  I just love their products!)

My husband made this sign to mark the location and welcome the kids to the party!

I whipped up this wreath for the front door with some a styrofoam wreath form and crepe paper.

All of the kids came dressed as their favorite superheroes.  It was so much fun to see them all dressed up!

The centerpiece of the entire party was the 4 foot skyscraper cupcake tower.  When I purchased it, I failed to look at the dimensions.  But it really adds something awesome to the decor!  My husband added the Stark emblem and Avenger sign to the top.

 The cupcake toppers and wrappers are also from Oriental Trading.  My husband made the cupcakes and I did the frosting.

This was the best pic I got of the birthday boy with his cupcake!

Kyle thought the Hulk should jump in on the fun too!

My favorite part of the whole party is the marquee sign designed as Reed’s superhero emblem!  I created that with some styrofoam and my Styrocutter®.

Kyle added the other superhero emblems along with Reed’s.  It’s pretty awesome, right?!  It is now hanging in the man cave.

Each of Reed’s friends received this superhero cup as their party favor!

It will filled with stickers, a superhero toy and DIY superhero mask!  The kids went nuts!

I also made these superhero suckers inspired by Zakka Life’s valentines!  I created clipart of the eye masks and then cut them out on my Explore.  The capes were from a ghost image in Design Space and then I added the stickers.

My sister designed these adorable birthday invitations!  {I blocked out our address and phone number.  That’s why it looks kinda weird.}

Since this was a Dino Dig Birthday Party, naturally, we dug for dinosaurs!

It’s pretty hard to find sand in the middle of November, so I settled for some aquarium gravel.  I simply poured the gravel into small disposable turkey trays and buried the dinosaurs.  The kids used the paintbrushes to reveal their dinosaur fossil finds!

Kyle cooked up some Brachiosaurus burgers for the adults, while I prepared Dinosaur chicken nuggets for the kids.  We had a dinosaur treats table, complete with Fossil Cookies, Dino Bones, Dino Claws and Volcano Cake!

I also decorated our mantel since it’s one big great room.

The chicken wire frame was perfect for displaying pictures of fun dinosaur fossils.  I also printed up some vintage dinosaur sketches for the picture frames.  The small banner was part of my printables package.

I filled our favor bags with all sorts of dinosaur goodies!  Toy dinosaurs, dinosaur masks and dinosaur paddle ball!

The pièce de résistance was the live, working volcano that my husband created!  Kyle sculpted this little beauty out of Crayola clay around a Powerade bottle.  After it dried, he painted it to resemble a real volcano and sprayed snow in a can on the top.  Throughout the party, he kept adding dry ice to make it “smolder”.  It was preparing for its eruption!  To create the lava, simply add vinegar, baking soda and food coloring!

The kids were so excited to finish the cake so he would make it erupt!  We love science in this family and this was the coolest part of the Dino Dig Birthday Party!

Reed had a great birthday party!

It’s amazing how fast they grow!  Slow down, buddy!  Mama wants to keep you small for a little longer!  Love you!!

I absolutely love blogging!  I have had the chance to meet the most amazing people and companies!  When Dimpleprints asked if I wanted to participate in a Summer Party Series, I was so excited!  My sweet niece turned 4 last weekend and my sis in law asked me to do the decorations!  Celebrate your sweet little one with this Candy Shoppe Party by Dimpleprints!

My sister in law loved the Candy Shoppe Party when she saw it online.  Dimpleprints made it so easy!  I sent Carli the info and within two days she sent me a personalized printables package complete with invitations!

How cute is she?  Love that little girl!

I got busy making a welcome wreath for the door, banners, and water bottle labels.

To create this cute wreath, I wrapped a foam wreath form in pink polkadot fabric.  Then I printed and cut out one of the Welcome signs from the package and created that cute little pennant banner with some other print outs that she made available.

We set the party up outside because Addy’s birthday surprise was a brand new swingset!

I made the back drop from plastic table cloths.  I punch holes in the top and threaded rope through the holes.  Then we stuck some command hooks on the siding to hang it.  It worked like a charm!

I found these cute pink chevron fry boxes for the kiddos to put their candy in.  I hot glued the thank yous to the the front.

We hung the Happy Birthday banner on her new swingset as a big “bow”!

Addy was so excited!  And the kids had a blast – despite the fact that it was over 100 degrees!

Yesterday, I shared with you the Clothespin Airplane party favor’s from Reed’s 3rd birthday party.

Today, I am going to share with you the rest of the party details! Once Reed mentioned the airplane birthday party, I decided on a red and aqua color scheme.

I enlisted my awesome sister to design the invitations and she came up with these adorable boarding passes!

I bought an 8×10 unfinished frame from Michaels, painted it and added some wood airplanes for the front door decoration. The cardboard backing for the picture party, I covered with chalkboard vinyl and wrote Happy Birthday. Bonus: extra toy for the kiddo!

My favorite part of the party is the food table. This airplane banner was made with my cutting machine. I download this cartoon-y airplane and some clouds. It took me all of ten minutes.

These topiaries were inspired by Project Party Perfect’s Airplane party. Instead of the little airplanes she used, I painted some unfinished airplanes from Joann Fabric and hot glued them in place. Reed helped me make these. He painstakingly applied every cotton ball after I applied the glue.

The printables were made by one of my best bloggy friends, Sarah from Becoming Martha. That girl has mad skillz! I sent her the .png file of the airplane from the invitation and she took it from there. Everything from the cupcake toppers to the tent cards and water bottle labels are her design. Thanks so much Sarah!

Lastly, we had a Baggage Claim area where the guests could pick up their party favors. I made the Baggage Claim sign with my cutting machine also. I just loved the retro feel to it!
