I was so sick last week.  I would come home from work and not even move from the couch.  As I was sitting there in my mess of a living room, I glanced over and saw I had some left over goodies from Floracraft.  What started out as just playing around, turned into something super cute!  I am lovin’ these Washi Tape Ornaments!  So easy even the kids can make them!

Materials needed to make Washi Tape Ornaments

Foam balls
Washi tape
Mod podge
Paintbrush

You only need 3 things to make these Washi Tape Ornaments – foam balls, washi tape and Mod Podge!

Begin by wrapping your foam ball in washi tape.  I simply wrapped around one time, then cut off the tape.

add washi tape to foam ball

Then I would rotate the foam ball and add the next “ring of tape”.

Continue the above process until the entire foam ball is covered in washi tape.

Once the foam ball has been covered, you want to make sure it STAYS covered.  I applied a light coat of Mod Podge to keep the tape in place. Set aside and let dry. I use cut up old toilet paper rolls to balance the ball as it dries.

It is that easy!  I did it drugged up on cough medicine and antibiotics so I’m CERTAIN you can do it too!  😉

These Washi Tape Ornaments make great fillers for vases or bowls for holiday decor. Or you can add hooks and hang on the tree!

We had so much fun making these ornaments!  You can easily add a metal hook to the top to hang or add some twine and secure with more washi tape!  Either way, it is a cute and fun way to decorate for the upcoming holiday – like Easter!
