My Garden Hose Spring Wreath has been such a hit that I decided it needed a little friend on the porch.  These Garden Boot Planters have been all over Pinterest this spring and I was dying to make one!  Unfortunately, it is still cold and spring has not sprung.  I had to opt for the silk floral arrangement until weather permits.  {Notice how it matches the wreath??}

Wanna make your own Garden Boot Planter?

Here’s what you need:

Garden Boots

Silk flowers

Floral foam

Needlenose pliers

Ribbon

I began by taking my silk flowers and cutting each individual stem from the bunch with a pair of needlenose pliers.

Next, using your carving knife, cut off about a third of your floral foam block.

Place your cut piece of floral foam inside the garden boot.

Repeat for the other boot.  Then arrange your silk flowers in the boots.  When the flowers are arranged, take your ribbon and tie it around the boots to keep it together.

It matches my Garden Hose Spring Wreath and really brightens up my porch!

Once it warms up here in good ole Missouri, I will plant real flowers in these adorable boots.

Is it warm where you are?  Have you been able to start gardening?  Leave some comment love so I can live vicariously through you!
