I received a free copy of Smart School House Crafts for Kids for the purpose of this review.  All opinions are 100% my own.

My friend, Kelly, wrote a book!  Eeek!  Just in time for summer too!  Smart School House Crafts for Kids is chock full of fun kids crafts, recipes and projects!  I can personally attest to how much time she spent coming up with these amazing ideas for you and your kids.  Reed and I received our copy last week and already have several projects bookmarked!

We re-created Kelly’s Ice Cream Play Dough over the weekend and it was a HUGE hit!

ice cream play dough

This play dough only takes 2 ingredients!  Grab a cup of your favorite pre-made icing and 2 3/4 cups of powdered sugar.  Mix together in your stand alone mixer with the dough paddle.

Kelly gives several tips for troubleshooting too wet and too dry play dough.  But this mixture was PERFECT!  We didn’t need to change a thing!

Reed was able to make this (with a little help measuring the ingredients).

He wanted to add the sprinkles.  LOL

We are totally making the Cake Pop Marshmallow Shooters next weekend!

I’m excited to have an extra resource to turn to when Reed starts complaining of boredom later this summer.

You can pick up your copy of Smart School House Crafts for Kids at Amazon or Barnes and Noble!
