Create your own Photography Letter Art as a gift for Father’s Day!

Have you seen the Letter Art photos floating around the world wide web?  There are oodles of websites out there that specialize in this type of art.  However, they range in cost from $60 to $200.  Yikes!  I don’t know about you but that’s a little out of my price range. Well, this sparked my DIY/crafter mind to think “I can do that!” I just had to get a little creative.

One of my husband’s favorite things to do with the buddy is to go to the playground.  They both love being outside and being rambunctious.  Therefore, I decided it was the perfect place to garner some inspiration. I also took some photographs around the outside of our house so I had plenty from which to choose.

All you have to do is drive around your neighborhood and seek out some of your favorite places to be together as a family. The awesome part is no one’s will be exactly alike! I love that!

Here are some samples of letters

“D”

  1. Top of a Little Tike’s playhouse
  2. Climbing apparatus
  3. Baby/toddler swing
  4. Air vent on our garage

 “A”

  1. Pavillion
  2. Mailbox post

“Y”

  1. Toadstool at playground
  2. Top of garage light fixture

Total cost: $15 (frame was on sale at Michaels and I printed the pictures myself.

This Photography Letter Art is probably one of my favorite photo projects that I have ever attempted or created. I think I picked the best letter combo. What do you think?
