Want to know something? We are moving…again! I despise moving. I don’t like packing or unpacking. The whole thing just reeks of too much work and effort. At any rate, I’ve been trying to declutter. As I was cleaning out my craft room, I came across some left over jelly roll strips from a project. I will do just about anything to get out of cleaning and packing, including crafting! But my procrastination produced this beautiful Vintage Scrap Wreath!
I used the same fabric wrapping technique that I used in my Luck O’ the Irish wreath and my Nevermore Halloween wreath.
The fabric flowers were super easy to make and are NO SEW!
I started by ironing my jelly roll strip in half lengthwise. Starting at one end, I started making small pleats and hot gluing into place.
Continue this process as you create a circle.
When you get to the end, fold over and glue into place.
To create the larger flower, make wider pleats and create a circle.
Hot glue the little flower onto the bigger flower.
Take a button or other embellishment and hot glue to the center of the flower.
Hot glue your flowers onto your fabric wrapped wreath form.
I added a simple piece of ribbon to hang the wreath.
I guess packing isn’t that bad after all!
Especially when I come out of it with an adorable wreath! hee hee
