Beaded Safety Pin Bracelet

Can you tell that I like to make jewelry out of common household items?  LOL  I saw a pin a couple of months ago made from safety pins and knew it was right up my alley.  Plus, I can always use a little extra bling to spruce up my wardrobe.  This Beaded Safety Pin Bracelet is adds a fun twist to any outfit!

Wanna make your own Beaded Safety Pin Bracelet?

Here’s what you need:

Safety pins

Sead beads

Needlenose pliers

Jewelry stretch cord

Clear nail polish

Start by adding the beads to each safety pin.  Each safety pin holds about six or seven beads.  I have a medium sized wrist.  It took about 75-100 safety pins to complete the bracelet.

Before you begin threading the safety pins onto the stretch cord, be sure to pinch the opening shut so the beads don’t pop off!

Thread the beaded safety pins onto the stretch cord.  Start using the natural opening of the safety pin.

Once you have all of the safety pins on the cord, begin threading a second piece of stretch cord through the hole at the opening of the safety pin.

Repeat this process until the all of the safety pins are threaded.  Tie the ends together using the steps on the stretch cord.

Next I added a dot of clear nail polish to secure the knots.

Trim the extra stretch cord and thread through the safety pin to finish it off.

Is it not adorable?  I am in LOVE with it!!  It goes great with my turquoise cardigan!
