I’ve been sharing tons of kid friendly ideas for adding a little flair to your gift giving.  Looking for a more elegant way to dress up your Christmas packages?  How about using silk poinsettias to create these Poinsettia Package Toppers!

{I’m kind of addicted to the brown kraft paper as you can tell.}

I love poinsettias!  Their large velvety petals are beautiful and they add the perfect touch to holiday decor, and in this case, gift wrapping!  {Last week I shared my Poinsettia Christmas Wreath.  You can find it here.}

I bought a bunch of silk poinsettias for 60% off and plucked them from their floral wire stems.  Next, grab some twine or ribbon.  Turn the flower over and weave it through the petals.

Turn the flower right side up and wrap the twine or ribbon around the package.  Secure with bow or knot.

You could fancy this up even more with some glitter wrapping paper or shiny foil wrapping paper.  Another option would be to use thicker holiday ribbon instead of twine.  Really, you can do just about anything – play around with it until you have a package that you are happy with!

Until next time….

Happy Wrapping!
