Plug in Babycakes donut maker and allow to pre-heat. You may need to pre-treat with oil. Check the directions.

In a large bowl beat together sugar and oil using a wooden spoon or spatula. Add in egg, vanilla, and buttermilk and beat until combined.

Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and pumpkin pie spice. Mix batter until combined and lumps are gone.

Spoon batter in to a piping bag or just use a spoon to fill each donut cavity with batter. Close donut maker and bake for at least 3 minutes or according to the instructions on the maker. When done, remove donuts and allow to cool.

Frost with desired frost and decorate.
