Create your own macabre decor with this Gothic Halloween Plate Decor!
Cricut Team 5 is throwing down again this month! As a team, we decided on a Black and White Gothic Halloween Party theme. I wanted to create something that was simple and classic yet creepily fantastic at the same time. I threw some black silhouettes on these beautiful white vintage plates to create this Gothic Halloween Plate Decor!

Materials needed to create your Gothic Halloween Plate Decor
Cricut Explore or Maker
Adhesive vinyl
Light grip mat
Basic tool set
Transfer tape
Fine point blade
Old white plates
This project cost less than $8 to make!
I picked up a pile of white plates from some local thrift stores.
Then measure the middle of each plate to decide on the size for each image.
To create this vintage look, I used images from the image sets – Potions & Spells and Chic & Scary in Cricut Design Space.
I canceled out the other layers to end up with just the black silhouette of each creepy critter. Size the image to fit your plates.
Then I loaded up some black adhesive vinyl on my cutting mat and got to cutting.
Once, cut, weed out the negative space and then apply to the center of each plate using transfer tape.
I love the detail I can cut with the Cricut Explore! Check out all the ridges on the beetle’s antennae and legs!
Isn’t that scarab/beetle thingy creepy?
