I seriously almost forgot about this post! I had it all ready to go last Friday but changed things up at the last minute to do the Super Bowl Party recipes. {You can check out those ideas here.} I wanted to share with you how cute my “smooch” letters look on my Valentine Mantel!
I love all the red glitter! Disclaimer: People with glitter phobias should probably steer clear of this decorating idea. {You know who you are…LOL}
That chicken wire frame I got for Christmas is my favorite mantel piece EVER! It’s so versatile!
This glitter heart I picked up at Michael’s since everything Valentine-y was on sale. Unfortunately, it had a bit of an accident in the cargo hold of my CR-V and is cracked in two places. I was able to put Humpty Dumpty back together again but I don’t think she will make it to next year. {Insert sad face here.}
I also picked up these cute heart topiaries! L.O.V.E. The white trees you may recognize from my Winter Mantel. I thought it still went since Valentine’s Day is a winter holiday. {That might be stretching it a little…maybe.}
Of course the centerpiece of my mantel is the Mod Podge Wooden Letters from Artsy Chaos. {You can find that tutorial here.} I decorated the entire mantel around those red glittery lips. =)
The red heart and bead garland I got for $2 at JoAnn Fabric.
Total cost for this mantel: $15
The husband is not too thrilled with this month’s decor. That’s ok. I promised him it would change shortly. {hee hee}
Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day?
