Patriotic Coasters

I’m sure you’ve all seen the Mod Podge coasters on Pinterest.  They were one of the first projects I ever pinned!  I decided to make a set of these Patriotic Coasters as a hostess gift for a friend that was throwing a summer barbecue!  They are so easy to make!

Here’s the nitty gritty on how to make these bad boys.  Go to Home Depot and buy some of the white bathroom tiles.

Grab some scrapbook paper {of your choosing}.  Cut into four inch squares.

Apply Mod Podge to the back of the scrapbook paper squares and adhere to the fronts of the tiles.  I lay mine down face first on wax paper to dry.

Once that first coat is dry, apply Mod Podge to the front of the coaster.  Allow ample time to dry.

To complete, add felt feet to the back so the ceramic doesn’t scratch furniture.

I used four different Fourth of July themed papers to create this look!

After four weeks, the Mod Podge will have cured.  Then they are water proof and can be wiped clean with soap and water.

Do you have a go-to hostess gift?  I think this is my new one!

Jill, this are SO adorable and a perfect hostess gift! They would be a great go-with for a patriotic salt & pepper hostess gift I put together. This idea is perfect for any time of year! Thanks for sharing, pinning and have a great weekend!
