New Year Wreath

I hope everyone had the merriest of Christmases!  It seems like this time of year flies by!  I can’t believe 2013 is a mere few days away!  I have a super simple New Year Wreath that is perfect to gussy up the house for the upcoming festivities!

New Year Wreath

This wreath was so easy to make!  Takes about five minutes once your champagne glasses are dry.

Wanna make your own?

Here’s what you need!

Foam Wreath Form

Black Ribbon

New Year Party Favors

Plastic Champagne flutes

Gold Glitter

Mod Podge (not pictured)

Hot Glue Gun (not pictured)

I began by glitter-fying {is that even a word?} my champagne flutes.  I used the same method that I used for my Glitter Dipped Christmas Candles.  {You can find that tutorial here.}  Set aside and let dry.

Next, I wrapped the foam wreath form with black organza ribbon.  Hot glue the end in place.

Now you can begin to arrange your party favors on the wreath.  I wanted to stick with a black, gold and silver theme so I didn’t use any of the other colors.  Pull the strings off the party masks.  Once you have everything arranged how you want it, start hot gluing everything in place.

I love the masks!  I’ve always wanted to have a black and gold masquerade party for New Year’s Eve!  We stay pretty low key on New Year’s Eve.  The hubs makes a steak dinner and we toast with sparkling grape juice (since even Reed can partake in that).  Then we sit around watching movies or playing games.

But this New Year Wreath makes me want to throw a party!!

Jill – I love this wreath. The glitter & glam is perfect for New Year’s Eve, yet this is so easy to make. I’ve tweeted, pinned (on Amazing Wreaths of STYROFOAM) and shared on FB. Thank you! Sharon
