I cure the winter Blues by making a simple choice in my heart that this is the Day the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it! I have never liked winter, but since I have made this decision, it is awesome! Apparently its all in the way you look at it. I dont like being cold, but its only for a season!

This year, the boys got battery powered ride on cars from Nana so we cured our winter stir craziness by bundling everybody up and taking the cars to the park. The paved path surrounding it was empty so the boys had free roam. Everyone had so much fun!

Curing the winter blues is always difficult for me. It helps to start getting organized for a new year, getting back on track with my eating and exercise, and planning the fun things we will be doing this Spring. I love to start new DIY projects around the house during this time of year since there aren’t any outside duties that are needing to be done. Also, I get quite a bit of reading done each night. WOW, looks like I kick it into overdrive in an attempt to chase those blues away!

  9. Linda harris says

I fight the winter blues by either baking or sewing things for my vintage camper , Making cushions and curtains and dodads to put in her and get ready for April and my first campout in her,

I grab a good book, a warm blanket and read the day away. That, of course, doesn’t happen very often with little ones so instead we grab a fun game and play, laugh, and eat goodies. The whole fam loves it!

With the ex training days off school due to snow and below zero temps, my son and I have been busy throwing hot water out the front door and watching it freeze instantly mid-air, blowing bubbles and watching them freeze, making snow ice cream…

    together. :)

Well, I live in Florida so the winter blues are not really a factor. Actually for us, in the winter we get out more often that we normally do because it is not so blasted hot! But when I lived in Ohio, my cure for the winter blues was doing puzzles with my family. We would spend weeks working on one and I loved it.

  18. says

Sometimes I seriously just give in and hang on the couch for the day- ha! But really, I let my boys keep me from being too blue- playing with them keeps life pretty exciting! You rock, as always, hon! :)
