Coordinate your Halloween decor by making your own Haunted House Pillow!
I knew I was going to have to update the pillows in my breakfast nook to create a Halloween look. Thankfully, Hobby Lobby was having a fabric sale so I went and grabbed some. I used black and white striped duck cloth and a burnt orange broadcloth to create the shams. I used my Easy Pillow Sham pattern. You can find that tutorial HERE. But I really wanted to tie in my placemats and centerpiece. Thank goodness for iron on vinyl! I whipped up this Haunted House Pillow and it is the perfect accent for the space!

Everyday iron on vinyl in black
Basic tool set
I used the Haunted House image #M36927 from the Autumn Celebrations cartridge. Open the image in Design Space and size for your pillow. When you go to cut, be sure to click the mirror image box. That way it will be facing the right direction when you iron. Place the iron on vinyl, shiny side down on your cutting mat and cut.
Weed away the excess iron on vinyl.
Now it’s time to iron. Place the vinyl side against your fabric. The shiny side will now be up.
Carefully iron the image in place with your EasyPress 2. Set you EasyPress 2 to the 315 degrees for 30 seconds. Pre-heat fabric for 5 seconds.
Apply cut image to fabric with liner side up. Place EasyPress 2 directly on top of image and start timer. Apply firm even pressure. Once timer sounds, remove EasyPress 2 and return to it’s cradle.
Allow to cool for 30 seconds and then gently peel away the liner.
It’s that easy! Not to mention, it really adds to the space!
