Fall is probably my favorite time of the year! I love cool sweater days! I always have a difficult time with fall decor because my mind instantly jumps to Halloween. This year I vowed to give autumn it’s due welcome! Whip up your own DIY Fall Decor in less than 30 minutes! This can easily be used again for Thanksgiving decor!
I created a stencil using my cutting machine and some adhesive vinyl. The wooden plaque I purchased at Michaels and stained it with a weathered oak stain.
Carefully peel and apply the adhesive vinyl to your wooden plaque.
Choose an acrylic craft paint to use on the lettering.
Pro tip: I use a foil cupcake liner for easy clean up!
Begin applying the paint using a blotting sponge. This also gives it a vintage appearance. Continue until all lettering is filled in. Allow to dry. (May require a second coat depending on the color you chose.)
Once dry, carefully remove the adhesive vinyl.
I added some paper leaves for a finishing touch!
It looks adorable on my side table next to a mason jar votive!
